NFL Mocks is proud to bring you our latest feature, Player Interviews.  The staff at NFL Mocks has been working hard to establish many different relationships and thanks to agreements with Ignition APG, D1 Sports, and St. Vincent Sports Performance we are able to bring you a closer look at the NFL Draft.  Over the next several weeks you will be seeing a lot of different player interviews and we want to thank the players for taking time out of their day to answer some questions.  Hopefully these interviews will let you get a good feel for the different personalities of each prospect.

This interview was provided by Lester Jean from Florida Atlantic.  Jean is currently training at Ignition APG and working towards getting himself ready to impress NFL teams.  We want to wish Lester good luck as the NFL Draft approaches.

Question: What has been your most memorable College Football experience?

Answer:  Jean quickly referenced the 1st game of his senior season as very memorable.  The game was against UAB and it meant so much because it was the start of his last season at Florida Atlantic.

Question: Who was the best player you faced during your College Football Career?

Answer: Jean felt that Michigan State cornerback Chris Rucker was the he faced during his college career.  Rucker combination of skills and hard work made Jean appreciate his opponent.

Question: What part of your game do you feel you have improved the most during your college career?

Answer: Ignition brought in former NFL receiver Ike Hillard to help the receivers with their hand/eye coordination.  Due to the great instructions Jean felt that he really improved in this area.

Question: To succeed at anything in life you need to have something that drives you, what is tit that drives you to succeed?

Answer: Jean stated that the fact that many people didn’t believe in him was a driving factor in his success.  Everytime someone told him he couldn’t succeed he would work that much harder to prove them wrong.  While this was a driving force Jean stated that he also worked hard because he wants to be the best at what he does.

Question: What do you love most about football?

Answer: Jean struggled to identify just one thing that he love about football.  He mentioned that he loved the competition and game time as it gave him a feeling like non other.

Question: What area of your game do you hope to improve on, while at Ignition?

Answer: If your a fan of the NFL draft I am sure you know the importance of the 40 yard dash.  Ignition is also aware of the importance and spend a tremendous amount of time and effort perfecting this skill.  Jean trusts in his skills and the instructions he is receiving as the combine approaches.

Question: Do you consider yourself a vocal leader or someone that leads by example?

Answer: Jean feels that it is important to let your practice habits and play on the field do the talking for you.

Question: When it’s all said and done what would you have liked to accomplish in the NFL?

Answer: Jean wants to been known for his hard work and success.  He wants the people of the NFL to know that when he steps on the field nobody will out work him.

Question: Does  your draft position matter to you? Will it affect you if you fall further than expected?

Answer: Jean doesn’t care about his draft position, he just wants an opportunity to showcase his skills.  He already plays with a chip and his draft position will have no impact on the effort he gives.

Question: What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?

Answer: Jean completely trusts his hands and feels that he can make any catch.  This confidence in his hands allows him to smoothly make catches even in tough situations.
