The playoffs are fast approaching and everyone’s looking for “if the season ended today” and their team’s playoff scenarios. It’s the most wonderful time…of the year!

In this week’s installment of bold predictions, I offer up some predictions that may shock, stun, or possibly make you throw up. Don’t let that warning deter you from reading on, however. I promise, it’s worth your time.

Oakland Raiders at Jacksonville Jaguars

Maurice Jones-Drew will be the leading rusher in the league after this game. The Raiders are ranked low against the run, but MJD is 53 yards behind league-leading Arian Foster. The Jaguars will continue to hold the lead in the AFC South and improve to 8-5. David Garrard will throw two touchdown passes, both to Marcedes Lewis.

Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers

The Chiefs will hold on to the division lead and will win the AFC West, despite losing Matt Cassel for a week or two. They’ll lean on their running game and will beat the Chargers, preventing them from being able to complete a comeback and potentially miss the playoffs. Jamaal Charles will run for 150+ yards and three touchdowns.

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers will attempt to pull even with the Rams and Seahawks for the race to win the NFC West, starting with a win against Seattle this weekend. It’ll be too little too late, but they’ll make it a close three-way race. Alex Smith is inserted back into the starting lineup and will have one last big effort to save his job with the Niners.
