16. Miami Dolphins- Mark Ingram- RB Alabama

– I am not sure if there is a pick in this draft that makes more sense than this one.  Both Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown are not as dynamic as they once were so an upgrade is needed.  Ingram has experience running the wildcat and is a workhorse that can carry the load for this run happy team.

.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars- Jake Locker- QB Washington

– I don’t know how much longer Jacksonville can count on Garrard to pull rabbits out of his hat.  While Garrard has put together a nice season he will never be a game changing quarterback and this league is driven by quarterbacks.  Selecting Locker here allows the Jags to stick with Garrard for a few more seasons while Locker develops.

.

18. San Diego Chargers- Michael Floyd- WR Notre Dame

– The Chargers could potentially loose both Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd this offseason so bring on Floyd.  Floyd fits the mold of a Chargers receiver because of his good size and ability to make plays on the football.

.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Gabe Carimi- OT Wisconsin

– The Bucs could use some help on the defensive side of the football but they have an opportunity here to add a good offensive lineman and they won’t pass it up.  Trueblood is slated for free agency and Carimi has the ability to step in and start from day 1.

.

20. New York Giants- Derek Sherrod- OT Miss St

–  Injuries and age have decimated the offensive line and former 2nd round pick William Beatty is not inspiring much hope.  Sherrod is a very talented  player and will help start the rebuilding of the offensive line.

.

21. St. Louis Rams- Justin Blackmon- WR Okla St.

– The Rams need to get Bradford some more weapons period and Blackmon is a touchdown waiting to happen.  There will always be a concern about the adjustment period for wide receivers but Blackmon’s talent will allow him to make an impact right away.

.

22. Kansas City Chiefs- Von Miller- OLB Texas A&M

– This Chiefs defense has really improved since last season and the addition of someone like Miller will allow them to take the next step.  Right now the only real pass rush threat is Tamba Hali and bringing in Miller will force teams to game plan for both players.

.

23. Indianapolis Colts- Anthony Castonzo- OT Boston College

– The Colts have been searching for a left tackle since the retirement of Tarik Glenn.  Keeping Manning upright and clean is their top priority and Castonzo’s ability makes him a good fit for the Colts.  We have seen the last couple of weeks that Manning’s play is impacted when faced with pressure.

.

24. New Orleans Saints- Bruce Carter- LB UNC

– Carter is a multi-talented linebacker that will help the Saints defense.  His coverage skills make him a 3 down linebacker that can remain on the field in passing situations.

.

25. Philadelphia Eagles- Janoris Jenkins- CB Florida

– Asante Samuel is still playing at a high level but he is getting older and its about time the Eagles moved on from Ellis Hobbs.  Jenkins in similar to Samuel in that he is good in zone coverage and make plays on the football.
