College Football Game of the Week: #1 Oklahoma @ #11 Missouri

College Football is officially here and the writers at NFL Mocks could not be more excited to start evaluating some NFL Prospects. You can count on at least 1 article a week that will highlight a big time College Football game a week. The article will focus on identifying some of the top prospects from each team and the key match-ups within that game.
What a jump in the standings for the Oklahoma Sooners, they went from #7 to #1 in one week and the start their reign at the top with a tough road test against Missouri. This will be a very exciting game that is sure to feature a lot of offense.
Oklahoma
Our top Oklahoma player is linebacker Travis Lewis. Lewis is a very athletic player that could fit into any number of NFL defenses. He is a guy that will always be around the ball and will likely end the game leading your team in tackles. He will face a tough test in this game because he will be ask to cover a lot of underneath routes.

If you followed Oklahoma the last couple of years you know the name DeMarco Murray and pretty soon the whole football world will know his name. He is one of our top rated running backs and we feel that he brings a ton versatility to a team. He is an above average receiver and has shown this year that he can carry the load.
Another guy your going to see a lot of on Sundays is Jeremy Beal who will draw the attention of teams seeking to bolster their pass rush. However, Beal is getting slapped with the “tweener” tag so where he fits could be something to keep a close eye on.
Missouri
The top NFL prospect on Missouri to me is QB Blaine Gabbert. Gabbert is a massive quarterback that has all the physical skills that is needed to be a good NFL quarterback. Gabert is a very accurate passer and has shown the ability to make those around him better. Its unknown if Gabbert will declare for the NFL Draft but you would have to say that his performance in this game could go a long way towards that decision.

Aldon Smith is someone that if healthy will be a guy to watch. He has missed a few games but when on the field he is a fierce pass rusher that has drawn the attention of every NFL Draft guru. He is still a little young and we feel he should return to school but the lure of the NFL is strong.
