By Editorial Staff
Below is the Updated NFL Draft Prospect Big Board as of September 8th 2010. Please make sure to stop by our Scouting Report Page to see in-depth analysis on each of the NFL Draft Prospects. NFL Mocks also continues to put together updated NFL Mock Drafts and those can be found on the top menu under Mock Drafts or in our Mock Draft Database. There has been some movement on the Board since our original was developed way back in early May. Lets hear your thoughts, who are we missing? Below you will find the updated Big Board as well as a few thoughts on the movers.
Rising Prospects:
Akeem Ayers– Every time I see him play I become more and more convinced that he is going to be a star in the NFL. He has the necessary size to fit nicely in to a 4-3 formation as an outside linebacker but he also has the versatility to play in the 3-4 defense as well. He was instrumental in the UCLA’s upset of Texas.
Marcel Darceus– This shouldn’t be much of a surprise as Darceus is widely seen as a top notch NFL prospect. However, I wanted to see him on the field a little more before I moved him into the top 32. Now that he has made his move the sky is the limit as far as our Big Board Ranking is concerned!
Dropping Prospects:
Marvin Austin– As more and more detail emerge from the UNC investigation the more concerned I get about Austin’s role. He is no doubt talented but he really needed this season to prove that he was worthy of a 1st round pick. Now with the character issues and potentially missing the entire season I have no choice but to drop him off our list.
On The Bubble: Evan Royster, Joseph Barksdale, Marcel Darceus, Nate Solder, Rodney Hudson, Terrence Toliver, Justin Boren, Mike Pouncey, Duenta Williams, Rahim Moore, Ryan Williams, Aaron Williams, Stefen Wisniewski, Kyle Rudolph, Jermey Beal, Jared Crick, Marvin Austin
