Big Board Update: 9/15/10

Below is the Updated NFL Draft Prospect Big Board as of September 8th 2010.  Please make sure to stop by our Scouting Report Page to see in-depth analysis on each of the NFL Draft Prospects.  NFL Mocks also continues to put together updated NFL Mock Drafts and those can be found on the top menu under Mock Drafts or in our Mock Draft Database.  There has been some movement on the Board since our original was developed way back in early May.  Lets hear your thoughts, who are we missing?  Below you will find the updated Big Board as well as a few thoughts on the movers.

Rising Prospects:

Jared Crick– Crick is having an impressive start to the season showing that his success wasn’t all a result of being paired with Suh.  He has shown quickness and the ability to get in the backfield.  To date he has 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and 3 quarterback hurries.  While Crick’s success has come against lesser competition it’s success none the less.

Camer0n Heyward– Heyward showed his big play ability with an interception agaisnt Miami this past weekend.  Heyward also caused issues for the Miami offense by holding strong against the run and creating pressure on the quarterback.  With Robert Quinn of UNC still be held out of games Heyward is pushing for the right to be called the top defensive lineman in this draft.

Kyle Rudolph– While Rudolph has yet to crack the top 32 he is getting close.  Rudolph showed why he is considered one of the top tight ends in college football last week.  I was really impressed with his break away speed which he demonstrated on his long touchdown reception.  Look for Rudolph to  make his debut on the Big Board soon.

Falling Prospects:

Robert Quinn, Marvin Austin, Duenta Williams– The fact that these players are still being held out of games raises concerns on how serious of infractions they might have committed.  Now a mistake is a mistake and hopefully they learn from them but fact still remains they made a decision that impacted their teams ability to win games.  If they don’t get cleared to play soon they could continue to drop.

Terrance Toliver– Toliver has struggled out of the gate and a lot of that can be pinned on the quarterback play at LSU.  However, if Toliver wants to be in the same discussion with the other top wide outs he is going to have to find a way to get his hands on the ball.
