2026 NFL Mock Draft 21-26: Browns get left tackle to protect rookie QB. Bills, 49ers and Chargers bolster secondary

No. 21: Buffalo Bills - Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
The Buffalo Bills drafted a cornerback a year ago in Maxwell Hairston, but could be well-suited to continue to add young pieces to their secondary. The Bills defense has struggled, at times, to hold their own with the team's potent offense, and a player like Jermod McCoy would help immensely. He has been injured this season, but when on the field McCoy is an elite lockdown corner and ballhawk that should greatly help Sean McDermott's defense.
No. 22: Cleveland Browns (from Jacksonville Jaguars) - Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah
After snagging a quarterback early on in this 2026 NFL Mock Draft with their own pick, the Cleveland Browns use the selection they received in the draft day trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars last year to get a franchise left tackle. While redshirt sophomore Caleb Lomu may not be as polished at this point in his career as his Utah tackle counterpart, he has sky-high potential and could address arguably the biggest glaring need for the Browns moving forward.
No. 23: San Francisco 49ers - Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
The San Francisco 49ers have been plagued by the injury bug once again, finding guys like Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, rookie Mykel Williams, and (still) Brandon Aiyuk on IR and quarterback Brock Purdy missing much of the season to this point. Even so, they find themselves in the thick of the playoff race. In this 2026 NFL Mock Draft, they bolster the Robert Saleh-led (once again) defense by adding Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell. Terrell, brother of A.J. Terrell, has been very effective for the Tigers and could do so early in his NFL career for the Niners as well.
No. 24: Dallas Cowboys (from Green Bay Packers) - Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
With this pick from the Micah Parsons trade, the Dallas Cowboys select the player that has now become the "other" linebacker for the Ohio State Buckeyes. While Sonny Styles may not draw comparisons to Parsons like Arvell Reese, Styles could prove to be the best "off-ball" linebacker in this class. Styles is always around the ball, racking up 100 total tackles in 2024 and 62 thus far in 2025. He could be a perfect pair for the dynamic Demarvion Overshown and could learn some things early in his career from the newly acquired Logan Wilson.

No. 25: Los Angeles Chargers - Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
Another California team plagued by injuries, the Los Angeles Chargers cannot seem to keep anyone on their offensive line healthy and on the field in front of Justin Herbert. After a hot start, the Chargers are still in the playoff hunt. Looking forward to 2026 and beyond, once they get the likes of Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt back, as well as rookie running back Omarion Hampton, the Chargers offense should be in pretty good shape. Here, they opt for secondary help in Colton Hood, who has played for Auburn, Colorado and Tennessee throughout his collegiate career.
No. 26: Chicago Bears - Caleb Banks, DL, Florida
The Chicago Bears have had an excellent season thus far under new head coach Ben Johnson. The offensive line is much improved, the team has a solid array of weapons, and Caleb Williams seems to be developing more and more each week. The defense has suffered from some injuries, specifically at the linebacker position. Here, the Bears go in a different direction to to bolster the run defense, adding big defensive lineman, Caleb Banks, pairing him with another former Gator, Gervon Dexter for the future.
