I spend so much time talking about which guys should be draft in 2009 that I often forget to talk about the guys that were drafted in 2008. Matt Ryan looks like the favorite for rookie of the year so far.

Its hard to get a handle on which direction the Baltimore Ravens will be pointing in when they pull the trigger on the 8th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. With the Ravens, you often have to assess positions in right now, now-or-later, or futuristic funk. Right now, they need a quarterback. They could take a cornerback now-or-later, but the futuristic funk would be a defensive lineman.

The Miami Dolphins have a lot on their plate.  At the core is the attempt to trade the first pick in this years draft, something that is becoming increasingly unlikely.  With a deficit at almost every position the Phins could make anyone the number one overall pick.  Although Matt Ryan is still a possibility, recent talk of John Beck being the future in Miami is souring many fans hopes of landing the QB.  Instead, it appears that the Phins are focusing on two names, both with Long last names.  For now, I am leaning to the one from Michigan although [...]
