<p>The Chargers have really underachieved the last 3 seasons. They have gotten worse every season, from 9-7 to 8-8 to 7-9 last year. <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RivePh00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Philip Rivers</a></strong> hasn&#8217;t seemed like himself the last 2 years, but that can be attributed to other things as well. The offensive line is really bad. They might have had the worst set of tackles and outside of <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/V/VasqLo20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Louis Vasquez</a></strong> the entire line was pretty bad. Sadly, Vasquez signed with the Broncos this offseason. The player with the most sacks on their team last year, <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PhilSh20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Shaun Phillips</a></strong>, is currently a free agent and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/I/IngrMe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Melvin Ingram</a></strong> needs to improve a lot to be an impact player next year. The Broncos improved this offseason and the Chiefs have made great strides, the Chargers need to get some impact players to keep up with those 2 teams.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<div id="attachment_26016" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/7016276.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-26016" title="NCAA Football: Senior Bowl" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/7016276-300x450.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="450" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Jan 26, 2013; Mobile, AL, USA; Senior Bowl south squad offensive lineman Lane Johnson of Oklahoma (69) against the Senior Bowl north squad during the first half of the Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports</p></div>
<p><strong>Lane Johnson &#8211; </strong>Johnson showed off his athletic ability at the combine by running the 2nd fastest time for an offensive lineman ever. As I mentioned earlier, the Chargers had possible the worst pair of offensive linemen in the league. The Chargers gave up the 4th most sacks in the league last year, allowing Rivers to be sacked 49 times. Rivers can&#8217;t be the elite QB he was in his first few years if he can&#8217;t stay upright. Also Johnson could help open up some running lanes for Ryan Matthews, who only averaged 3.8 ypc last year.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<div id="attachment_26017" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/65541943.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-26017" title="USA TODAY Sports" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/65541943-300x462.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="462" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Sep 1, 2012; Arlington, TX, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide offensive linesman Chance Warmack (65) blocks during the game against the Michigan Wolverines at Cowboys Stadium. Alabama won 41-14. Mandatory Credit: Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports</p></div>
<p><strong>Chance Warmack &#8211; </strong>The Chargers lost their best offensive lineman last year in Louis Vasquez to the Broncos. Chance Warmack is the #1 player on a lot of teams boards and would be a steal at the 11th pick in the draft. Warmack could come in and start from day 1. He is strong and would be a great player to help open up hole for Ryan Matthews to get him going next season. He could also help keep Rivers upright, which is an absolute must next year. He has All-Pro potential and could be the best OG in the league in a couple years.</p>

They couldn&#8217;t resign <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LeviAn20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Andy Levitre</a></strong> this offseason, which really weakens the interior of their offensive line. They also cut <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FitzRy00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Ryan Fitzpatrick</a></strong> and didn&#8217;t sign a QB to replace him. From the outside that has to mean that the Bills are going to select a QB in the upcoming draft, now whether that is in the 1st round or if they wait till the 2nd round we don&#8217;t know yet.</p>
<div id="attachment_25982" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6885594.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-25982" title="NCAA Football: New Era Pinstripe Bowl-West Virginia vs Syracuse" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6885594-300x212.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="212" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Dec 29, 2012; Bronx, NY, USA; West Virginia Mountaineers quarterback Geno Smith (12) warms up prior the 2012 New Era Pinstripe Bowl against the Syracuse Orange at Yankee Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports</p></div>
<p><strong>Geno Smith &#8211; </strong>It&#8217;s painfully obvious that the Bills are going to have to draft a QB in this draft. Geno Smith is the top rated QB in this draft and if he falls to 8 it will be hard for Buffalo to pass him up. There are 2 questions to ask however. Does Buffalo want to take a QB in the 1st round or wait till the 2nd? Are they willing to trade up for Smith? There is a very slim chance than Geno falls to 8 and if Buffalo truly wants him, they will have to trade up.</p>
<div id="attachment_25983" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6704958.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-25983" title="NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Alabama" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6704958-300x427.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="427" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Oct 27, 2012; Tuscaloosa, AL, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide offensive lineman Chance Warmack (65) lines up to block during the game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Bryant Denny Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports</p></div>
<p><strong>Chance Warmack &#8211; </strong>Buffalo had one of the better young guards in the league last year in Andy Levitre, however they let him sign with another team and now they have a hole at the OG position. Chance Warmack is the #1 player on some peoples draft boards. The 8th pick may seem a little high for an offensive guard, but is it really if you get an all-pro guard who will open up running lanes for <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JackFr02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Fred Jackson</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SpilC.00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">C.J. Spiller</a></strong>? He would pair very well with young OT <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GlenCo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Cordy Glenn</a></strong> to give the Bills a good young core to their OL.</p>

<p>The Browns have had some good things going for them the last few years. There defense has looked good both of the last few years, last year they got some impact rookies on offense in <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RichTr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Trent Richardson</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GordJo02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Josh Gordon</a></strong> as well as <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SchwMi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Mitchell Schwartz</a></strong> who played very well at RT and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BenjTr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Travis Benjamin</a></strong> who flashed a spark from the slot. However they have a new head coach in Rob Chudzinski, as well as hiring Joe Banner as their new CEO and Michael Lombardi as their new GM. On top of all that, they are also switching from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 defense. How does the personnel currently on the team fit into that switch? Does the new staff like <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WeedBr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Brandon Weeden</a></strong>? The Browns have a lot of questions this offseason.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<div id="attachment_25957" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/66753901.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-25957" title="NCAA Football: Alabama at Tennessee" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/66753901-300x450.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="450" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Oct 20, 2012; Knoxville, TN, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Dee Milliner (28) during warm up prior to the game against the Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium. <p><strong>Dee Milliner -</strong> <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HadeJo99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Joe Haden</a></strong> is a legitimate #1 CB in this league. However the Browns #2 CB, <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BrowSh20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Sheldon Brown</a></strong> is a free agent and even if brought back is getting older. Dee Milliner is an elite CB prospect and could be every bit as good as Joe Haden. This would give the Browns one of, if not the best CB tandem in the NFL. They are switching to a3-4 this year and if they can&#8217;t get pressure on the QB straight away they are going to need their CBs to be able to cover for a long time. <strong> </strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<div id="attachment_25958" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/5658390.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-25958" title="NCAA Football: Washington State at Oregon" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/5658390-300x196.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="196" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Oct 29, 2011; Eugene, OR, USA; Oregon Ducks defensive end Dion Jordan (middle) sacks Washington State Cougars quarterback Marshall Lobbestael (6) during the second half at Autzen Stadium. <p><strong>Dion Jordan - </strong>Jordan is as athletic as they come. He would be a perfect fit for a 3-4 defense and the Browns need players who can fit their new scheme. Jordan used to play WR and TE so he knows how to play in space. He can cover TEs and RBs and has very fluid hips for a guy his size. He can get to the QB as well as anyone in this draft. He did just have surgery on his shoulder, but there shouldn&#8217;t be any lingering issues from that and he should be ready to go for camp this summer.</p>

<p>The Lions were a surprise playoff team in 2011 after going 10-6. They lost to the Saints in the first round but it was a step forward, being their first trip to the playoffs since 1999. However the team took a huge step back this past year, finishing the season 4-12 and earning the 5th pick in the draft. After throwing for 5,000 yards and 41 TD&#8217;s in 2011 Staffords numbers came back down drastically. While still throwing for almost 5,000 yards he only had 20 TDs and threw 17 INTs. The offense finished 3rd in the league in yards per game, but only finished 17th in ppg. That was largely to being the 3rd worst in the NFL with a -16 turnover differential. They also had the 5th worst defense in the NFL in points per game.</p>
<div id="attachment_25932" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6676774.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-25932" title="NCAA Football: Alabama at Tennessee" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6676774-300x450.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="450" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Oct 20, 2012; Knoxville, TN, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Dee Milliner (28) breaks up a touchdown pass intended for Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Justin Hunter (11) during the first half at Neyland Stadium. <p><strong>Dee Milliner &#8211; </strong>The Lions secondary is really bad. It is probably the biggest weakness of this team. They did resign <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HousCh99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Chris Houston</a></strong> who would be a very good #2 CB for this team. With the resigning of <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DelmLo99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Louis Delmas</a></strong> and the signing of <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/Q/QuinGl99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Glover Quin</a></strong>n, they have a good tandem of safeties if Delmas can stay healthy. Adding Dee Milliner to that secondary will turn what was a weakness last year into one that has a lot of talent this year. Milliner is easily the best CB in the draft and adding him would be a huge when you are in a division with <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RodgAa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Aaron Rodgers</a></strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Scouting Report/Player Notes</strong></p>
<p>One of the best offensive guard prospects in the country. Honorable mention All-American as a junior in 2011, and a durable starter over the last two years for Alabama at left guard. Athletic player with fantastic size and strength, and a huge (literally) reason why Alabama’s running game has been so successful the last two seasons. Warmack plays with excellent technique and is rarely penalized, and is consistently one of the top graded offensive linemen on a team full of top NFL prospects. Offensive guards are not valued highly on draft night (see David DeCastro) so expect Warmack to go in the second or third round unless he simply cannot be passed on. This is the kind of guy who will undoubtedly start in the NFL for a long time provided he can stay healthy.</p>

<p>So you thought David DeCastro was the best guard prospect to come along in years? Think again. According to Todd McShay at ESPN, Alabama guard Chance Warmack is every bit as good&#8211;and then some.</p>
<p>McShay and Mel Kiper Jr. updated their big board rankings after the first two weeks of college football, and Warmack is <a href="http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft2013/story/_/id/8368474/2013-nfl-draft-pass-rushers-d-linemen-dominate-top-32-rankings" target="_blank">at number two on McShay&#8217;s list (Insider).</a></p>
<p>Apparently this is no change to McShay&#8217;s lis, which says he had Warmack at the number two slot in his previous big board update, but this is the first time I&#8217;ve seen this. McShay says that Warmack is a rare guard prospect worth using a top 10 selection on. That&#8217;s a pretty bold statement, but he obviously believes the 6&#8217;3&#8243; 325 pounder is going to be a perennial Pro Bowl caliber player.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s certainly no denying one thing: Alabama&#8217;s offensive line is full of NFL talent, and if Warmack is managing to stand out on tape, he is really doing something right. He&#8217;s a smart interior lineman who can be a good fit in any offense in the NFL.</p>
<p>North Carolina guard Jonathan Cooper is also in McShay&#8217;s top 13 players, so this is obviously a good class of guards, potentially. Alabama CB Dee Milliner is the only other member of the Crimson Tide on McShay&#8217;s new top 32.</p>
