<p>The Giants are as hot and cold as a team can be since Tom Coughlin got there. They either get on a hot streak and go deep into the playoffs or then inexplicably fall apart and implode at the end of the season. This past season it was the 2nd one when they started 6-2 and then went 3-5 down the stretch. The Giants have lost some key cogs from their team of the past few years. <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/U/UmenOs99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Osi Umenyiora</a></strong> signed with the Falcons, <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BlacCh21.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Chase Blackburn</a></strong> signed with the Panthers, they cut <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BradAh00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Ahmad Bradshaw</a></strong> among others. <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WebsCo20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Corey Webster</a></strong> didn&#8217;t play very well at all last year and the linebacker play was really bad. They re-signed <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RiveKe99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Keith Rivers</a></strong> and signed Dan Conno,r but neither are good options as starters. As always, the Giants will look at pass rushers who fall in the draft to them.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<div id="attachment_26133" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/04/5654034.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-26133" title="NCAA Football: Kansas State at Kansas" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/04/5654034-300x425.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="425" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Oct 22, 2011; Lawrence, KS, USA; Kansas State Wildcats linebacker Arthur Brown (4) lines up against the Kansas Jayhawks in the second half at Memorial Stadium. Kansas State won the game 59-21. Mandatory Credit: John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports</p></div>
<p><strong>Arthur Brown &#8211; </strong>Arthur Brown is very physical, instinctive player who possesses excellent key and diagnose skills. Is an explosive player who possesses active hands and can quickly slip blocks and make plays. Plays with great leverage and bending at the knees, getting under the pads of would be blockers. Shows good balance in avoiding blocks. Shows outstanding sideline to sideline speed. Is fluid in coverage, showing the athleticism and intelligence to be a good coverage man in the NFL. Is good at blitzing as well as coverage. Doesn&#8217;t have the size you want from your linebackers. May not be the playmaker you want at LB,  seeing as he has only gotten 3 interceptions and forced zero fumbles in his career. He does however play much bigger than his size.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<div id="attachment_26134" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/04/6897880.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-26134" title="NCAA Football: Capital One Bowl-Georgia vs Nebraska" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/04/6897880-300x388.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="388" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">January 01, 2013; Orlando, FL, USA; Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Taylor Martinez (3) is sacked by Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Alec Ogletree (9) during the second half of the Capital One bowl at The Citrus Bowl. Georgia defeated Nebraska 45-31. Mandatory Credit: Brad Barr-USA TODAY Sports</p></div>
<p><strong>Alec Ogletree &#8211; </strong>Ogletree is a former safety who showed his range off last year, making plays all over the field on a defense that might have had the most talent in the country. Has terrific sideline to sideline speed. Shows the ability to catch players from behind and make plays on the opposite side of the field. Shows great quickness around the edge, great at making plays in the backfield. Is good in coverage and has plenty of experience there, being a former safety. Needs to get better at filling holes against the run and tackle with better pad level. Needs to get stronger in the NFL. Has some off the field issues with the suspension while at Georgia and getting a DUI just before the combine.</p>

<p>The Dolphins haven&#8217;t had a true franchise QB since <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MariDa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Dan Marino</a></strong> retired. While they let <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BushRe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Reggie Bush</a></strong> go to the Lions this offseason and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LongJa20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Jake Long</a></strong> to the Rams, they got him some weapons in deep ball threat <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WallMi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Mike Wallace</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GibsBr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Brandon Gibson</a></strong>, along with resigning <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HartBr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Brian Hartline</a></strong>. On defense they replaced <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BurnKe20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Kevin Burnett</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DansKa20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Karlos Dansby</a></strong> with <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WheePh99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Philip Wheeler</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/ElleDa99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Dannell Ellerbe</a></strong>. They also lost their starting CB <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/player_search.fcgi?search=Sean+Smith&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Sean Smith</a></strong> to the Chiefs. The Dolphins went 7-9 last year and 5-3 at home. The road wins should come with more experience for Tannehill along with him getting some weapons on the outside.</p>
<div id="attachment_26032" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/70162761.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-26032" title="NCAA Football: Senior Bowl" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/70162761-300x450.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="450" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Jan 26, 2013; Mobile, AL, USA; Senior Bowl south squad offensive lineman Lane Johnson of Oklahoma (69) against the Senior Bowl north squad during the first half of the Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports</p></div>
<p><strong>Lane Johnson &#8211; </strong>The Dolphins selected an OT last year in the draft in <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MartJo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Jonathan Martin</a></strong>, however they still had <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LongJa20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Jake Long</a></strong> to pair with him last year. Long has since moved on to the Rams and the Dolphins have a hole at OT. Martin played well when he filled in for Long at LT so they can either move him there or if they feel more comfortable with him at RT they can instantly plug Johnson in at LT. Johnson is the most athletic OT that will be taken in the first round and would be an instant starter on the Dolphins. This will help keep Tannehill upright long enough to hit Wallace on those deep throws.</p>
<div id="attachment_26033" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6602516.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-26033" title="NCAA Football: Clemson at Florida State" src="http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2013/03/6602516-300x417.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="417" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Sept 22, 2012; Tallahassee, Florida, USA; Florida State Seminoles defensive back Xavier Rhodes (27) during the game against the Clemson Tigers at Doak Campbell Stadium. <p><strong>Xavier Rhodes &#8211; </strong>Last year the Dolphins traded off their best corner in <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DaviVo99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Vontae Davis</a></strong>. Well this year they again let their best corner go, this time <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/player_search.fcgi?search=Sean+Smith&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Sean Smith</a></strong> signed with the Chiefs in free agency. They still have <strong><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MarsRi20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-nflmocks.com" target="_blank">Richard Marshall</a></strong> coming back, but he just isn&#8217;t that good. Rhodes can come in and from day one compete physically. He already has a NFL body and is as physical as any CB in this draft. He likes to press and keep his hands on the WR all the way down the field. He fights for position and the ball very well. He can be a little over aggressive at times which can cause him to get pass interference and illegal contact penalties.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Scouting Report/Player Notes</strong></p>
<p>Werner is a German-born, former foreign exchange student who didn’t begin playing football until he was 15 years old, when he immediately fell in love with the game. That love for the game shows up on every single play you see from this guy, and might be his greatest asset. Not only is Werner a hard worker off the field, but he will make you pay for taking a play off on the field. His intensity and passion for the game are nearly unmatched, and on Florida State’s star-studded defense he was named MVP after Spring last season. That hard work translated to the field where he was second on the team with 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks. He emerged as a very good run stuffer but also showed development in his pass rush skills. What’s great about Werner is, he is a dynamic player who is a very good athlete and plays with great speed. He is relentless in pursuit and I think he could emerge as a potential first round pick this year, though many are already talking about him as such. When it’s time to turn on the jets and get to the quarterback, he is tough to miss when you watch FSU games.</p>
