Since I live so close to Minneapolis, you know there was no question I was going to be in town when the Broncos come to town, and that was even before I knew Tim Tebow would be the starting quarterback.

The Denver Broncos are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now taking on the Vikings, who have had a really rough stretch of injuries in a tough season. I was able to score a photo with Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee and offensive lineman Tony Hills outside the Mall of America yesterday, so the weekend is already off to a great start.

As for the game, I feel like this is a game the Broncos should win, but the Vikings always play tough on their home field, so I don’t expect it to be easy. Ironically, the Broncos might be best served utilizing the passing game to beat the Vikings on Sunday. Minnesota is without their top cornerbacks Antoine Winfield and Chris Cook, as well as safeties Tyrell Johnson and Jamarca Sanford.

The Vikes will also be without star running back Adrian Peterson, and earlier in the week they placed wide receiver Michael Jenkins on injured reserve. Percy Harvin is also questionable for the game, but that doesn’t mean the Broncos aren’t without fault right now.

1). What draft picks do the Vikings have for next year’s draft?
Right now we’ve got a pick every round 1-6 and two sevens. Which is a lot for us cause we’re usually trading all our picks away for old washed-up players. If they win the games they should win the rest of the season they will finish 5-11 and probably be picking around #10. Which will of course tick off all the people who want them to lose on purpose for a better pick.
2). What happened to Donovan Mcnabb?
Donovan suffers from the syndrome that attacks a lot of talented players who are not especially hard workers. He’s older now and needs to work more in the gym and tape room to compensate for the erosion of his physical abilities, but he’s not willing to put in that work. He just doesn’t seem to want to face the reality that he’s not the same player he was 5 years ago and can no longer coast on physical talent alone. I think his lack of motivation caught the team off-guard. They thought he still had enough left to give them a good season and keep Christian Ponder on the bench, but then they found out what a slacker he is and knew there was no sense keeping him in there. I would be shocked if anyone gives him a chance at a starting job next season after this. He might make a decent back-up. He’ll be out of the league in two years and talking on ESPN probably.

Alright everyone, the lockout should be over today, or at the very worst Monday. Fantasy drafts will be starting all over the world once we all know where free agents end up. With that being said, I think this is the year to draft back to back RB’s in the first and second rounds.

The reason for this is simple. The RB depth this year is really, really bad, while the WR depth seems to be the deepest I have seen in a long time.

For example, in a resent 12 team draft I took part in having the 6th pick (was not a mock draft). I was able to get Ray Rice in the first round, then draft Steven Jackson in the Second. I then grabbed a QB in the third, and was still able to get Brandon Marshall and Wes Welker with my 4th and 5th round selections. The WR position is deep my friends, very deep.

Listen, more and more WR’s emerge every year. I always find a WR that pops up on the waiver wire. While it seems the days of finding a work horse back on the waiver waire are all but dead (there was Peyton Hillis last year). More and more teams are using the running back by committee. I have looked up and down, left and right for true number one backs in the NFL. They really don’t exist anymore.

These are the only RB’s that do not have a threat for the hated RBBC.

I would like to apologize to my fellow fantasy football people, I have been MIA (miss in action) lately. My life has been a little crazy, and now, I’m also writing blogs for a sister site here at FANSIDED. No need to worry though, because Mr. Freakin’ Fantasy is back baby. You can now laugh if you want too. Anyways, looks like the end of the lockout should be about a week or so away, and for the greater good of the NFL I hope they get it done sooner then that. The longer the owners and players wait, they risk the chance of missing preseasons games, losing money, and fans.

This doesn’t keep me from my hours upon hours of research for fantasy football. Along with the countless mock drafts I have already done. There has been plenty of new information brought to my attention that has changed my RB rankings.

So, here are my revised RB rankings.

The most important part of a fantasy football draft is the first three rounds.

In those rounds, you most likely be taking a running back. Making the right pick sometimes will either make or break your Fantasy season. So with that being said, here are my top 10 Running Backs……

1. Adrian Peterson. This guy is the model for consistency. His last year numbers were 1,298 rushing 12 tds, 341 receiving 1 td. This was a bad year for the man with the strongest hand shake in the game. He had 18 tds the year before. But he did stop his fumbling problems, only having fumbled once. So, with no QB insight, Unless your counting on rookie QB Christian Ponder AP will be the whole offense. Look for a big year from “All Day”. Expect: 1,500 rushing 15 tds, 350 plus receiving and 1-2 tds. Adrian is the man!!

2. Chris Johnson. 1,364 rushing 11 tds, 245 receiving 1 td, and some people are a little down on him. Listen, I know his Offensive line was bad last year, but it will be better. This is the fastest man in the NFL people. I am not taking anyone but ALL DAY over him. Expect: 1,400 rushing 13 plus tds and 250-400 receiving with 2-4 tds. CJ2K will be whole Offense this year.

3. Arian Foster. This rank makes me a little nervous. But with 1,616 rushing 16 tds, 604 receiving and 2 tds I can not put him any lower. I do expect a drop off. There is a great deal of talent on this team. With a healthy AJ and Owen Daniels they will limit some of Foster’s production this year. Now, with that said expect: 1300 plus rushing 12 tds, and 300-400 receiving with 1-3 tds. The new King of the Hill of RB’s will have a good year…..and NO!!! I am not worried about Ben Tate….he just got cleared for full contact!!

In what was supposed to be Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings redemption game against the rival Green Bay Packers turned out to be a 31-3 loss and an exclamation point on a tumultuous season. The Vikings opened up the game fresh off a week of internal strife and conflict with hopes of turning themselves and the season around with a win over Green Bay. But in the end the Vikings loss and now there are more questions than answers for the team who played in the 2009 NFC Championship game.

Favre had a horrendous game as he completed merely 17 of 38 passes for 208-yards with one interception. He was pressured on nearly every drop back as LB Clay Matthews, DT Ryan Pickett and rookie LB Frank Zombo provided a pass rushing assault on the 41-year old quarterback. And the Vikings running game was of little help also as RB Adrian Peterson had only 14 carries for 73-yards as he was stopped within 3-yards on a majority of his runs with the exception of a few carries. The non-existence of a running game and a violent Packer rush attacked forced Favre to rush throws and become extremely inaccurate
