Excellence shined in a come from behind win that included 26 of 32 passing for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns from Senior West Virginia quarterback Pat White in the Meineke Car Care Bowl against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

White continued to show, as he has all season and throughout his career that he could be a professional quarterback. White, who many compare to Mike Vick (only on the field), is arguably the best rushing quarterback in college football history. His rushing ability, which includes 974 yards on the ground in 2008, is not what is in question. It’s his height and throwing ability.

Scouting

At 6’1” White goes into the combine a little smaller than the average quarterback prospect. With the lack of size, comes doubt and many NFL scouts believe that Pat White would be a better running back or wide receiver. Either way, there is not a doubt that White is an NFL athlete, it just comes down to whether he can make adjustments or not. I honestly think he would have the most value as at the quarterback position. There are plenty of good quarterbacks that are undersized (see Drew Brees) that can have success. What matters is that he is a playmaker. Twice in his four colligate seasons has his QB rating been over 150. In his four years, he has accumulated 56 passing touchdowns compared to 23 interceptions. Throughout his career he has thrown for 6000 plus yards. Not bad for a running quarterback.

Granted, he only went over 200 yards passing three times this year, it is still worth a team to take a look at Pat White late in the draft, in hopes of developing a starter for the future. In a deep quarterback class (Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow, Matt Stafford), White could be the diamond in the rough, or he could be the best of the busts (Vince Young, Eric Couch, Akali Smith). Any way it ends up, He is worth a mid-round draft pick talent wise.

Personality

According to West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart, White is, “the greatest winner of college football today.” Stewart also went on to say that White is “the greatest to ever wear the old gold and blue.” Beyond on the field, Pat White has also drawn great raves from his head coach. Bill Stewart continued the praise of White after the Meineke Car Care Bowl, saying that He hopes his son turns out to be the type of man that White is. It is that type of attitude that teams these days have to be looking for, considering many athletes shoot themselves in the leg in off the field situations (pun fully intended).

On the field, there has never been a question about his desire to win. White has started four bowl games and bought home three consecutive bowl game MVPs to end his college career. With that being said, it seems that White would do whatever it takes to get on the football field. Those are the guys that you want playing for you on Sundays.

Comparisons

Pat White often reminds me of Mike Vick, simply because of the way both took over ballgames at the college level. Size wise, they match up pretty well, and I believe that White can produce that well in time.

Combining his attitude, smarts and play on the field, I do see flashes of Randall Cunningham. Is that to say that White is really that talented? No. But he could be that type of game changer on the field.

The Tuna wasn’t at Matt Ryan’s personal workouts and he loves drafting defensive playmakers. Chris Long is the most proven defensive talent in this draft.

• Brian over at Phin Phanatic thinks it will be Chris Long or they will trade down. For now, I am going to side with Brian, but I still think that trading down is the Dolphin’s best option. (side note: Matt Ryan is moving up on the board, and Parcells and Co. will have to decide if Beck is their guy)

• The Rams would love to add to their defense, but I think they will want to protect their investments on the offensive side of the ball after last season.

• I had Matt Ryan as the pick, but changed it at the last second to McFadden. I just don’t see him making it past the third pick. Also the Falcons need a superstar name like Reggie Bush to put the Ron Mexico era behind them.

• The Raiders get a gift at the four spot. Dorsey slips his way to them and they are happy to add to a defensive line that struggled last season.

• The Chiefs would really like for Jake Long to drop to them. If they can move up to the fourth pick after the coin flip, then they will have a better shot at getting him. I think if it plays out this way, they can’t pass on a franchise-type QB.

• The Jets get the second best DE in the draft. He is a playmaker and could end up being better than Long.

• The Patriots are stacked at every other position so why not go get Asante Samuel’s replacement. They don’t need to reach for a LB because they will get an old vet like Zach Thomas to fill that role.

• Ellis is rising up the boards and I wouldn’t be shocked if he went as high as the fourth overall pick. I think the Ravens could add to their defense with the best player left. Then in the second round they could go after a QB like Joe Flacco.

• This unit was so depleted they were signing people off the street to play LB last season. Rivers is the obvious choice unless they make some moves during the offseason. Could Lance Briggs be the answer at LB?

• How times have changed! Talib has floated around the 20th pick in my earlier mocks, but I think he is moving up. Jenkins would be another option, but Talib is a bit bigger and only .01 slower than Jenkins.

• I know DeSean Jackson is suppose to be the first WR picked, but they don’t need another speed guy. Kelly is four inches taller and would be a great compliment to Evan. A nice addition to an emerging offense.

• Man, this was a hard pick. I am still not sure I am 100% sold on it, but the Broncos don’t want to reach for Balmer or another DT, so they go with the best defensive player available.

• The Panthers were one of the worst teams at rushing the passer last season. They could go LB, OL, or S here, but I think they go with a pass rusher to try and help Peppers.

• The Bears get the second biggest gift in the draft and get the second best overall OT in the draft as well.

• Matt Millen might not even be able to screw this pick up. Although, DeSean Jackson is still on the board. Hold your breath, Lions fans.

• Others might like Jonathan Stewart better, but I think Mendenhall has all the tools to become a great RB. He is almost like a younger Edge, and the two would give them a great combo.

• The Vikings just released S Dwight Smith and could look to replace him with a much younger one. The best thing about Smith, and reason why I think he could be picked higher, is that he can play CB and S.

• The Texans RB by committee hasn’t worked for the past two years — I think Kubiak is sick of it. He goes out and gets one of the top three RBs in the draft. My brother over at Arrowhead Addict thinks that Stewart could be THE BEST RB in this class. We’ll see.

• Williams’ stock is rising and the Eagles need major help on their offensive line. This would be a great pick for the Eagles.

• The Bucs would have to consider taking Brohm with this pick. However, they were in the playoffs last season and I know Gruden doesn’t have the patience to wait for a young QB. Jackson is a solid pick and maybe even a steal in the 20s.

• The Redskins could easily go with a WR here, but the class is very deep and they can fill that need in the second round. Campbell is one of the best DEs left, and will be a good addition for the Skins.

• The Cowboys pull the trigger on Jones with their first pick because I believe they fear that the Seahawks would try to take him. The draft class is deep with CBs, so they will use their second pick on one.

• This would be an ideal pick for both parties. The Steelers could start retooling their OL, and with a local product.

• The Titans want to continue to help VY to become a top NFL QB. What better way to help him and his confidence then by giving him a fellow Longhorn at wideout.

• Now, I know some most people will think I am crazy, but Hassleback isn’t a young guy and their isn’t a RB out there to pick at this spot. Holmgram could give his predecessor a nice gift, but I could also see the Seahawks trading back with someone who wants Brohm.

• The Jaguars will add the final piece to give them one of the best DL in the business. Adding Merling to Henderson and Stroud is scary!

• The Chargers have a ton of options here. They could go WR, DT, or OL. I think they will want to add to their defense, and Conner is the best LB available.

• The Cowboys get their corner and can now focus on other needs. Cromartie is rising and would be a nice pick late in the first round.

• The 49ers could go with a WR here, but they can’t pass on Balmer if he is still on the board. Winning Championships starts with great line play.

• The Packers need to start thinking about life after Woodson and Harris.

• The Giants could go WR, DB, or even DE if Strahan considers retirement. Mannigham would be a nice present to Eli for winning the SB.

• I have finally have changed my mind and decided that the Dolphins would go after Long instead of Dorsey. But I still expect them to trade down so we will just have to wait and see…

• The Rams will look to continue to improve their defense. They were hit hard last season with injuries on the offensive side of the football so that unit isn’t as bad as some may think.

• The Falcons will be left with some interesting options. They could go with McFadden here, but they need to acquire that franchise QB again after losing Vick and Schaub.

• If I hear from any Raiders fan that tells me this pick is crazy, than that fan might want to take a good look in the mirror. This is a great pick for the Raiders, and one that Al Davis will love. I think JaMarcus Russell might like the pick, too.

• The Chiefs have their dream come true here. If Long falls to them then this will be the best possible scenario for the Chiefs. That way they won’t have to trade down or take a flier on a QB or McFadden.

• The Jets would love to get Chris Long, but I don’t think he will get pass the first three/four picks. If the Jets want Long they will have to move up. I think Gholston is almost just as good of a pick for the Jets.

• Laurinaitis and Jenkins staying at Ohio State made this a harder pick for the Patriots. I figured the Patriots would have the luxury of taking either player. Now they will have to decide between reaching for a corner/linebacker or taking the best player on the board. The Patriots usually pick the best player.

• The Ravens need a QB and will most likely have the option of getting to pick between two of the three first round QBs. John Harbaugh will get to decide who he wants as his QB of the future.

• The Bengals barely had enough LBs to play a few games last season. Unfortunately for them they will not have the opportunity to look at James Laurinaitis, but Rivers will be a productive player that should be able to start his first game.

• Jenkins should be thanking Malcom Jenkins from Ohio State for staying in school. Now he will most likely be the first corner taken.

• The Bills would love to get a big WR to go along with their emerging offense, and Kelly will give them just that.

• After trying guys like Sam Adams and Courtney Brown, the Broncos get the second best DT in the draft. This is a great pick for the Broncos — some would say a steal. Ellis had a great week at the Senior Bowl to, so I could see his stock improving.

• The Panthers managed to get all of their QBs injured at some point in the season, and need help on the offensive line. I love Clady and think that he might actually have the most potential at his position in this draft.

• Unless the Bears trade up they will most likely have to settle for the best QB that falls to them. Brohm is that guy for now.

• The Lions could not protect Kitna and the offense struggled because of it. I think they could also take a corner here.

• It looks like the Colts might have gotten rid of Edge just at the right time. I think that if the Cardinals bring in Stewart they could have a dynamic backfield, allowing both players to take reps. They could also look at DE, CB/S, or consider a different RB.

• The Vikings would love to have one of the three QBs fall to them, but if that doesn’t happen they really have the option to take the best player on the board. I think that Harvey would be great to add to their DL, and probably would make it the best in the NFL.

• The Ahman Green experiment didn’t work out as well as the Texans thought it might. Mendenhall gives them a young back to go along with Matt Schuab, Andre Johnson, and Owen Daniels. Thus giving them a young exciting offense.

• McNabb got hurt again because the offensive line broke down. Winston Justice is not the answer at OT and Runyan could retire.

• DeSean Jackson gives Gruden a playmaker he can use in multiple ways. Galloway had a great season, but at some point he is going to slow down.

• The ‘Skins need another WR to help bring along QB Jason Campbell. Sweed is the big WR target they are missing. They could also look at Manningham, Hardy, and Doucet.

• This is my fourth mock draft now, and I still have the Cowboys going with Talib. Add him to T-New and you will have the best state of Kansas CBs in NFL history (ok, who really cares about that)

• Smith might be my favorite defensive back in the draft because he can play multiple positions, which is something that Pittsburgh loves to have.

• If the Titans go with anything, but a WR I will be shocked. Nuff said…

• Felix Jones could help resurrect Shaun Alexanders’ career (if that is possible). Either way they will get a versatile playmaker that could help them get back to the Super Bowl.

• Jacksonville will have Marcus Stroud back healthy next season and adding Campbell to him and Henderson could be very, very scary DL unit.

• The Chargers missed Donnie Edwards this season. Their secondary has really became one of their stronger parts of their defense, so no need to look there. They could also look at DT.

• Hardy might be one of my sleeper picks. I love his size (6′5 1/2″) and his potential. I think that the Cowboys will also take a look at the other WRs left in the draft or a RB (especially if Felix Jones drops to them).

• The 49ers could do a number of different things, but I think improving your DL is always a good start.

• Al Harris and Charles Woodson are getting up there in age, and the Packers will need to start grooming their replacements. McKelvin’s stock is rising and this could be a great pick for the Pack.

• The Giants could also address their secondary, but I don’t think they could pass on an upstate LB like Conner. I still think Conner could really improve his stock and move up to the first LB taken. He had a good Senior Bowl, so in my next Mock I think I will have him moving up.

• Another Mock and nothing has changed as far as my selection for the Dolphins is concerned. I expect them to trade down so we will just have to wait and see…

• Until Parcells makes me think differently, then Dorsey is the pick. I would trade here, and think the Dolphins will trade out of this pick.

• Rams need protection for their skill players, and Long will help rebuild an old, beat-up line.

• I keep going back and forth between Ryan and McFadden. I think it’s more likely for a team to trade up to acquire McFadden, but the Falcons need a QB. If they don’t trade back, I would be surprised if they went anything besides QB here.

• Al Davis couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add McFadden to JaMarcus. I have them landing McFadden as long as someone doesn’t trade up to get him. (Fargas, Rhodes, and Jordan have nothing on McFadden)

• I have had this pick for a while now and think that the Chiefs will take Clady over Baker, Brohm or Woodson. If Ryan is available, then I think the Chiefs will take a long hard look at him.

• Long is the best defensive end in the draft and the Jets need help all over their defense. If they get a pass rush, then they could help Revis and their other young secondary players.

• The Patriots could go with James Laurinaitis, but Belichick knows he can get that kind of player via free agency. They could lose Asante Samuel to free agency, and they could fill that void with Jenkins. The rich get richer…

• The Ravens will have a new head coach with a new direction and I am positive that won’t be with McNair or Boller. The Ravens will need to add a QB. If they sign a FA quarterback, then I think they will go with an offensive or defensive lineman.

• This is an easy pick for the Bengals. They basically played the season without LBs and Laurinaitis is the best LB in the draft. Another bonus for the Bengals is that he is a Buckeye boy.

• The Saints are another team that could look to trade back. They would love to get Jenkins with this spot, but will settle for this year’s best safety. Phillips will give the Saints an immediate starter to help out on of the worst secondaries in the “L”.

• The Bills could go many directions with this pick, but they need players around Trent Edwards to help with his development. Kelly is a big (6-4) WR that will be great opposite Lee Evans.

• Gholston is a big, fast pass-rusher that would give the Broncos a pair of young talented DEs. The Broncos will also take a look at DT Sedrick Ellis and the other DL available.

• Kris Jenkins was almost traded last season, and rumor is he might not be back with the team for next. I think that the Panthers will want to reload their defensive line.

• The Bears were not happy with the play of Cedric Benson before he sustained his season-ending injury. I think that the Bears will sign a QB in free agency, but if they don’t Brohm is the more likely choice. Sam Baker is another option.

• Most of the problems with the Lions’ offense was their blocking. They need to add an impact lineman like Baker, but if Matt Millen is still around he might have to go for WR DeSean Jackson. (I know, it’s a bad joke)

• Campbell gives the Cards a pass-rusher they desperately need. This will help out their secondary once they have a healthy Adrian Wilson back along with Antrel Rolle.

• Brad Childress can talk all he wants about how Jackson is his man. If he gets the opportunity to sign or draft another QB, I think he is all for it.

• Houston already improved their defensive line, and now they can help out their secondary. I think they take Smith because of his ability to play both safety and corner.

• If the McNabb era is over then the Eagles will probably want to invest in a tackle to protect Kolb. Runyan is reportedly set to retire and the Eagles will need to start reshaping their offensive line.

• Now that Gruden has found his backfield, it’s time to help out the aging WRs that have seemed to have found the fountain of youth. Gruden won’t want to wait another year to get his vets some help.

• The Skins need a big playmaking WR to help out the little guys (Moss and Randle El). Coach Gibbs will want to help his young QB grow, and giving him another option won’t hurt.

• Jerry Jones is probably dreaming up ways how he can trade up to acquire McFadden. I think he will settle for the other Arkansas RB and grab Felix Jones early, then pick a corner second. Can you imagine the Marion the Barbarian alongside Felix Jones’ speed?

• Seattle made a huge investment in Shaun Alexander, and so far it has been a major letdown (Just ask Alexander’s fantasy owners). Rashard could help resurrect Alexander, giving him the compliment back he needs.

• The Steelers could use some help on the line this season. Roethlisberger has been sacked more times this season than any other in his career. They could also look at WR, LB or CB here.

• Vince Young needs a WR worse than any other QB in the league. They want VY to keep developing, and giving him a WR that can CATCH would be a big help.

• The Giants’ secondary is getting old and they will want to address that this offseason. Picking late in the first round can always net you a solid corner. Jenkins has the speed and talent to be more than just solid.

• The Chargers have missed Donnie Edwards a bit this season. Once they get their DL back healthy and add Conner their defense will return as one of the best in the league.

• I could see the Jaguars signing a free agent WR just to avoid having to use another high draft choice on a WR. If they go that route, then I think they have the luxury of picking the best player available.

• Balmer is one of those guys I have a feeling will move up and down the draft boards. If he has an impressive workout it could really raise his stock. Although, could he be the next Ryan Sims?

• The 49ers need to protect whoever they decide is their QB. They also need to help their biggest investment — Frank Gore.

• This would be a great pick for Dallas, and would give them another corner to pair with T-New.

• Another week and nothing has changed at the 1 spot. I still have the Phins taking Dorsey, but I think they would be better off trading back.

• Even though Warrick Dunn just announced he wanted to return for another season, I still think the Falcons couldn’t pass on a franchise player like McFadden. If the Dolphins pass on McFadden, the Falcons would also look to acquire picks.

• The Rams fell back a spot, but that doesn’t really change a thing. If this team had an OL this season they would be in the playoffs. The Rams just signed Bulger to a long-term contract and they will want to protect their investment.

• The Jets could use a little of everything, but Long is the type of player that will make an impact in his first year.

• The Ravens benefit from the new draft order. Matt Ryan slips to them at #5 and they feel like they got their man. Only problem is a team could trade up to grab him or another QB.

• If anyone has watched the Chiefs this season, then they should know that their offensive tackles are horrid. Clady’s stock has risen, but he still has yet to decide if he will enter the pros. The Chiefs could also look at OT Sam Baker or DT Sedrick Ellis.

• The Raiders need to beef up a DL that has an aging Warren Sapp and Co. Ellis gives them a west-coast player that will help sure up that run defense (31st).

• I am not sure the Patriots have a weak spot, but they are getting older at LB with Bruschi, Colvin and Vrabel all in their 30s. The Pats might go corner or safety here , but they can really do whatever they want.

• The Bears might decide to resign Rex Grossman, but that doesn’t mean they won’t draft a QB. The Bears were plagued by injures this season and believe that if they have the right signal caller they can make it back to the Big Show.

• This team has struggled and struggled on defense the last few years. They almost didn’t even have enough LBs to play a game this season. They would love to get Laurinaitis, but he is gone already. Conner is the next best option.

• The Broncos move up because of their latest loss. They get lucky because Gholston could even be gone before this pick. Simeon Rice, Sam Adams, and the rest of the veterans they have brought in haven’t worked. Adding Gholston to Moss will give them dynamic DEs.

• The Panthers just missed out on Laurinaitis and Conner, but they still need to find ways to improve their defense. Campbell is a great pick here and should improve the worst sacking team in the league. They could also go after S Phillips, a RB or a WR

• Smith will give the Texans more options than Phillips or Talib. Smith could play both Corner and Saftey (posiitons the Texans need) and this allows the Texans to play him where they fill he will be best suited.

• This was a hard pick for the Cardinals. They could go many directions like DE, LB, OL, and RB. Phillips along with Adrian Wilson will give them one of the best safety-combos in the league.

• The Lions have given up more sacks than anyone in the league. They need OL help and Baker will give them a solid LT or RT.

• McNabb misses TO and Donte’ Stallworth. McNabb might not be around next season and they will need a WR to help groom their young QB Kevin Kolb.

• Hardy is moving up my draft board. I am just astonished by his size and athletic ability. He might get Vernon Davis hype, but I think he would be a great addition to Lee Evans, Marshawn Lynch and an improved offensive line.

• Jenkins has reappeared on my draft board because the Saints can’t stop anyones passing game (30th). Jason David was not the answer. They could also look at Phillips or Talib.

• Woodson has slipped a little, but its not because of his talent its more about the teams picking. The Vikings will probably miss the playoffs because of their QB play.

• The Redskins need another WR to help out their young QB because Randle El and the other projects haven’t exactly turned out. Jackson will give the Redskins another option opposite to Santana Moss.

21. Tennessee Titans – WR Early Doucet III, LSU

• Vince Young needs a WR and needs one BAD! The Titans could miss out on the top-tier of WRs picking this late, but they can still get a good one in Doucet. Doucet could possibly become the most consistent WR in this class.

• Dallas made a great trade last year and it should pay off for them this season. They need a corner that can play opposite T-New. Newman is from Kansas State, Talib from Kansas, making it a divided house.

• Gruden has done an excellent job at rebuilding the Bucs and winning their division this year. They finally have a backfield, so they will need to get a WR to play opposite Joey Galloway (is it just me or does he just get better and better). Gruden loves big WRs, and Bowman is 6-foot-4, 220 pounds.

• The Giants still have faith in Eli, which I think they should (at least for one more year). They will want to continue to beef up his protection by adding Otah. (Hey, once Peyton stopped getting hit he became an elite QB, it could happen)

• The Steelers are ranked 26th in the passing game and could use a big target to help out the other WR. Sweed gives Big Ben a big 6′4 target.

• The Chargers have missed Donnie Edwards. Once their defensive line gets healthy and the addition of Rivers this defense could once again be one of the best.

• The Seahawks running game has been so bad it hurts to watch at times, boy do they miss Big Hutch. Stewart falls a bit in the draft, but that doesn’t mean this is not a good pick. Stewie will stay in the Pacific Northwest and split-carries with the former MVP. Felix Jones and Rashard Mendenhall are other options.

• None of the other three WRs they have drafted have panned out. Their running game is one of the best in the entire league, and Garrad is playing mistake-free football. If he just had a little more talent at WR, this offense would be scary. (Although I think Manningham could turn out like a few other Michigan WRs)

• The Packers have great linebackers and they could really use a premiere DT/NT. They have a great rotation at D-line this season, but Okam could improve their defense the way Vince Wolfolk has helped the Patriots.

• The Cowboys improved their secondary with its earlier pick and now they get the luxury of taking the best player available. Julius Jones will most likely be gone after this season. Can you image the Barbarian with Felix in a backfield? SCARY!

• I still believe that the 49ers could go with Brennan here, but I think they might rather sign a free agent QB than draft one. They need a pass rusher and Harvery will give them just that. They could also look at WR and OL here.

• The Dolphins need more than just a DT, but they can only pick one player here. Dorsey is their man. He could fill a void at DT for the next 8-10 years. This would be the choice for the Dolphins unless they decide to move back and acquire more picks, something that might not be such a bad idea.

• The Rams offensive line was so bad this year it cost them several key injuries to their star players. Orlando Pace has shown signs of age, and this is a position that can make or break a team.

• I don’t believe the Jets would pass on McFadden. They get the player that has the most exciting potential in the draft. Thomas Jones and McFadden would give Mangini an outstanding, but expensive, backfield. They could also listen to offers.

• Petrino is gone and so are my beliefs that Brohm will go to Atlanta. Ryan has moved up the draft chart and I think the Falcons would favor his talents over the other QBs available. The only known fact is that the Falcons will pick a QB.

• I had Willis McGahee on my fantasy team this season and let me tell you it was painful watching them offensively at times. The Ravens have to get some fresh blood at QB, and Troy Smith is not the answer. The Ravens will have to decide between Woodson and Brohm.

• If anyone has watched the Chiefs this season, then they should know that their offensive tackles are horrid. Clady’s stock has risen, but he still has yet to decide if he will enter the pros. The Chiefs could also look at OT Sam Baker or DT Sedrick Ellis.

• I am not sure the Patriots have a weak spot, but they are getting older at LB with Bruschi, Colvin and Vrabel all in their 30s. The Pats might go corner or safety here , but they can really do whatever they want.

• The Raiders get a blessing here. They need a defensive lineman to help out rushing the QB (only 24 sacks) and their run defense (31st). If they got better there I think this defense could drastically improve. (I think my Raider fans will like this pick more than my J-Stew one. Although, Fargas might not be as durable as they think he is.)

• The Bears might decide to resign Rex Grossman, but that doesn’t mean they won’t draft a QB. The Bears were plagued by injures this season and believe that if they have the right signal caller they can make it back to the Big Show.

• This team has struggled and struggled on defense the last few years. They would love to get Laurinaitis, but he is gone already. They will take a big man up front that can help start building a defense.

11. Arizona Cardinals - DE Vernon Gholston, Ohio State

• The Cardinals move up but they still go with their man. This makes more sense because Gholston could even be gone before this pick. This could also help them become one of the better defensive lines.

12. Philadelphia Eagles – OT Sam Baker, USC

• The Eagles O-line this season has been one of the worst they have ever had. Injuries and age have plagued this unit. It’s time to get some fresh blood to help protect new QB Kelvin Kolb. Wait, did I just say Kolb?

• Jenkins will give the Lions a shut-down corner to help fill the void left by the departure of Dre Bly (not that he was really that dominate). Surprisingly, he has dropped this far and I am not sure he will be here at this point once we get closer to the actual draft.

• Al Wilson has been a huge loss for the Broncos. They will look to Conner to bring back the Super Bowl-caliber defense they used to have. They could also look to trade back and acquire more picks to rebuild their defense.

• The Panthers just missed out on Laurinaitis and Conner, but they still need to find ways to improve their defense. Campbell is a great pick here and should improve the worst sacking team in the league. They could also go after S Phillips, a RB or a WR.

• Even though the Texans seem to need a RB, I think they will pass because of the depth in this class. They decide to give their young QB another go-to-guy and nab DeSean Jackson. Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels and Jackson could potentially give Schaub the talent to make him a top NFL QB.

• The Skins cost themselves the opportunity to get Jackson by beating the Giants this week. That doesn’t really matter because this class is stocked at WR. They decide to take the next big thing, WR Malcom Kelly. The Skins just need a big WR that can help Moss and Randle El get open.

• Hardy is moving up my draft board. I am just astonished by his size and athletic ability. He might get Vernon Davis hype, but I think he would be a great addition to Lee Evans, Marshawn Lynch and an improved offensive line.

• Being ranked 29th in pass defense will force the Saints to do something about that weakness. I have Smith here over Talib because Smith could play both safety and corner.

• Vince Young needs a WR and needs one BAD! The Titans could miss out on the top-tier of WRs picking this late, but they can still get a good one in Doucet. Doucet could possibly become the most consistent WR in this class.

• Williams and Williams already have the middle of the line taken care of (No. 2 rush defense in the NFL). All they need to do better is rush the passer. Harvey will add to an already dominating defensive line.

• Phillips is going to make a ton of plays wherever he lands. The Chargers safeties are one of the weaker spots on that defense and Phillips is the best safety in this draft class.

• The Rams offensive line was so bad this year it cost them several key injuries to their star players. Orlando Pace has shown signs of age, and this is a position that can make or break a team.

• Long just had a monster year at UVA and the Jets need a monster on defense. They missed out on McFadden and Brohm, but will not miss out on this stud.

6. Baltimore Ravens – QB Andre’ Woodson, Kentucky

• I had Willis McGahee on my fantasy team this season and let me tell you it was painful watching them offensively at times. The Ravens have to get some fresh blood at QB and Troy Smith isn’t that answer.

• The Chiefs better hope they can lose a few more and get a higher pick so they can snag Long. At the 7 spot they will most likely take the best CB, OL, or DT available. The defense was exposed in the middle-to-late portion of the season. Ellis will help solidify an already emerging DL.

• The Raiders got their QB last year and think they might have something with Justin Fargas. That won’t scare Al Davis from taking another RB in this draft. Fargas and Stewart would give the Raiders an exciting backfield.

• The Bears might decide to resign Rex Grossman, but that doesn’t mean they won’t draft a QB. The Bears were plagued by injures this season and believe that if they have the right signal caller they can make it back to the Big Show.

10. Philadelphia Eagles – OT Sam Baker, USC

• The Eagles O-line this season has been one of the worst they have ever had. This is one of the main reasons they are going to miss the playoffs and head coach Andy Reid might get fired. Andy or not, they will need to protect their QB. Baker is a good choice here.

• A team with probably the worst linebacking core in the league needs to add a difference maker. Laurinaitis is the premier middle linebacker in this draft. He will help sure up the middle of the defense.

• The Panthers just missed out on their guy Laurinaitis. Phillips is going to make a ton of plays for whoever he plays for, especially the Panthers. They are already 12th in the league at pass defense, but adding Phillips might bring back the Defense they used to have.

• Jenkins will give them a shut-down corner they have never had. Surprisingly, he has dropped this far and I am not sure he will be here at this point once we get closer to the actual draft.

• The Cardinals could always use help on defense and Gholston will give them a solid DE. He could even move up to a top 10 pick determining on how his workouts go.

• The Lions have already given up 52 sacks this season, most in the NFL. The Lions will most likely miss the playoffs and lots of that is because of their pass protection.

• It seems like the Redskins add a WR ever year by free agency or trade. Moss is getting older, Randle El hasn’t lived up to the hype, and their still playing guys like Thrash and McCardell.

• Gruden loves big WR that can make plays. Uh, and if you dont think he is big, check 6-foot-7 220 pounds (Phil the Show Killer rings bell). Galloway is getting older (still amazing me with his play), Clayton hasn’t panned out, and this could be a great addition to an emerging offense.

• Pittsburgh could go WR here, but I think Tomlin would like to add to his defense to keep them as one of the best in the “L”.

• Shhhhh… The Seahawks don’t want this to get out. Morris and Alexander are not cutting it, and Felix Jones posses 4.3 speed as a RB. Jones could actually help Alexander resurrect his career and get the Seahawks back to the Super Bowl.

• This might be a bit early for Brennan (depending whom you ask), but the 49ers have had it with Alex Smith. Now let’s just see if they can get him some WRs to throw to.

• The Packers really have plenty of options here. They could go with about any position other than WR or QB. I think they will want to add to the middle of their defense, and Pat Sims will be a big problem for offensive lines.

• The Cowboys waited on a WR and it paid off. I really think they can’t lose here by picking CB/WR or WR/CB. It will all depend on who is there at the spots they draft.
