After drafting Jamal Adams with the sixth overall selection, the Jets have begun shopping Sheldon Richardson and Calvin Pryor…

Ever since the off-season began for the New York Jets, they’ve been making changes. From releasing long time players like Nick Mangold to big time names such as Darrelle Revis and Brandon Marshall.

One thing the New York Jets have been constantly linked to is a quarterback and could they potentially draft one tonight? Certainly they could and Davis Webb has been linked to them for most of the day, today.

In the first round, the Jets were shocked to have Jamal Adams fall to them. There was no hesitation when drafting him. With Jamal Adams now on the team, the Jets are reportedly making calls about former 1st round pick, Calvin Pryor. Not only are they shopping Pryor, they’ve also been linked to trading Sheldon Richardson.

More from NFL Mocks

Sheldon Richardson was selected 13th overall by the Jets in the 2013 NFL Draft. He enters a contract year for the team but his chances of getting an extension are slim.Throughout his career, he’s totaled up 242 tackles, 18 career sacks and five forced fumbles. Once viewed as a focal point for the defense, he’s now viewed as a pawn to potentially gather more picks.

Over the last two seasons, he’s been suspended a total of six games. Four games for violating the leagues substance abuse policy and two games for violating the off-the-field personal conduct policy.

Calvin Pryor was the 18th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, he’s tallied up 191 tackles, 14 pass deflections and only two interceptions. He hasn’t been the most productive player for their defense and has lacked consistency. Both players are still relatively young and should return mid-round draft picks for the Jets.
