2017 NFL Mock Draft: We take a look at a projection of the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft with some of the latest rumors factored in…

Cleveland Browns. 1. player. 53. There has been too much smoke for there not to be some fire with this rumor. If the Browns took Trubisky at no. 1 overall, it would mean they were convinced that San Francisco would take him at no. 2. This would be the most ‘Browns’ thing that could happen on Thursday.. Mitch Trubisky, QB. North Carolina

2. player. 42. John Lynch lucks into Myles Garrett in his first year as general manager? It would be an absolute coup on draft night.. Myles Garrett, DE. Texas A&M. San Francisco 49ers

3. player. 57. The Bears could go with a QB or CB here, but I chose the leadership of Jamal Adams on the back end of the secondary. He’s going to be a star in the league.. Jamal Adams, S. LSU. Chicago Bears

52. With the defense revamped, the Jaguars get the player that can help Blake Bortles the most in this year’s draft — Leonard Fournette. Fournette takes pressure off the QB by simply being on the field and being a threat to score anytime he touches the ball.. Leonard Fournette, RB. LSU. Jacksonville Jaguars. 4. player

**PROJECTED TRADE WITH BROWNS** — After passing on Myles Garrett with the top overall pick, the Browns move up into the top five and get Solomon Thomas, a versatile edge presence that can play inside and out and get pressure on opposing quarterbacks.. Solomon Thomas, DL. Stanford. Cleveland Browns. 5. player. 53

New York Jets. 6. player. 30. The best tight end prospect I have ever scouted, O.J. Howard can play in line or out wide. He’s an athletic freak and a dual threat with the ability to block and also score the ball.. O.J. Howard, TE. Alabama

Los Angeles Chargers. 7. player. 13. The fall of one of the nation’s best defensive players ends here with the Chargers, who pair Allen with Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram for a fearsome trio up front.. Jonathan Allen, DL. Alabama

player. 87. The Panthers take one of the draft’s best playmakers in McCaffrey, someone who can get it done in the running game, passing game, or return game.. Christian McCaffrey, RB. Stanford. Carolina Panthers. 8

Cincinnati Bengals. 9. player. 56. Shocker of a pick here as the Bengals opt for the speedy receiver to complement A.J. Green instead of upgrading their defense.. John Ross, WR. Washington

Buffalo Bills. 10. player. 16. The Bills take advantage of the fall of the draft’s top cornerback, a player who can match receivers with his excellent size, speed, and ball skills.. Marshon Lattimore, CB. Ohio State

15. The Saints use their first of two round one picks to add the athletic freak in Haason Reddick, a player that can rush the passer and play in space.. Haason Reddick, LB. Temple. New Orleans Saints. 11. player

Ohio State. Tennessee Titans. 12. player. 35. With some of the best ball skills in the draft, the Titans select Hooker to try and add some juice to the back end of their defense. Trading down from the 5th pick, this is not a bad value at all…. Malik Hooker, S

13. player. 32. The Cardinals need to get serious about Carson Palmer’s replacement, and Mahomes may have the best overall skills of any QB in this year’s draft.. Patrick Mahomes, QB. Texas Tech. Arizona Cardinals

Charles Harris, DE. Missouri. Philadelphia Eagles. 14. player. 54. Perhaps a bit of a surprising pick here, Harris has been rising up draft boards and could be the pass rusher the Eagles covet with the 14th pick.

player. 46. The Indianapolis Colts take advantage of some bad pre-draft publicity for Reuben Foster, one of the nastiest players in this year’s draft.. Reuben Foster, LB. Alabama. Indianapolis Colts. 15

Baltimore Ravens. 16. player. 26. Despite having a chance to take Cam Robinson to fill in at right tackle for Ricky Wagner, the Ravens go get a new target for Joe Flacco and someone that can make big plays.. Corey Davis, WR. Western Michigan

35. After taking Malik Hooker six picks earlier, the Titans go for arguably the best receiver in this year’s draft here with Mike Williams. Williams steps in and becomes Marcus Mariota’s favorite target.. Mike Williams, WR. Clemson. Tennessee Titans. 18. player

player. 36. **PROJECTED TRADE WITH BUCS** — The Seahawks trade up here to get in front of the Denver Broncos and New York Giants to get the left tackle prospect they covet. Ryan Ramczyk, OT. Wisconsin. Seattle Seahawks. 19

Garett Bolles, OT. Utah. Denver Broncos. 20. player. 45. After watching Ryan Ramczyk go one pick ahead, the Broncos opt for the athletic tackle out of Utah who will be 25 this season.

player. 50. The Lions replace DeAndre Levy with someone that has great quickness and hits hard. Davis could be a perfect fit to lead the Detroit defense.. Jarrad Davis, LB. Florida. Detroit Lions. 21

With Laremy Tunsil moving to the left tackle position, the Dolphins come around and snag the versatile Forrest Lamp, who would play left guard and solidify that side of the line.. Forrest Lamp, OL. Western Kentucky. Miami Dolphins. 22. player. 59

Needing a solution to move Ereck Flowers back to right tackle, the Giants get the powerful and athletic Cam Robinson, who can step in and play left tackle or guard.. Cam Robinson, OT. Alabama. New York Giants. 23. player. 31

28. Looking to add playmaking skills to the defense, the Raiders get this year’s Jim Thorpe award winner and a player who can score anytime he touches the ball.. Adoree' Jackson, CB. USC. Oakland Raiders. 24. player

10. The Texans luck out here, getting the National Champion and Heisman runner-up near the bottom of round one. Watson would be an excellent value.. DeShaun Watson, QB. Clemson. Houston Texans. 25. player

After trading down, the Bucs opt for the talented back out of Florida State to further upgrade the speed in their offense, which added DeSean Jackson in free agency.. Dalvin Cook, RB. Florida State. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 26. player. 48

**PROJECTED TRADE WITH CHIEFS** — The Falcons move up here to pick no. 27 and get a coveted second pass rusher to pair with Vic Beasley off the edge.. Derek Barnett, DE. Tennessee. Atlanta Falcons. 27. player. 44

28. player. 123. Missing out on some of the top edge players, the Cowboys get the big, long Kevin King who brings big time playmaking skills to their secondary.. Kevin King, CB. Washington. Dallas Cowboys

Chidobe Awuzie, CB. Colorado. Green Bay Packers. 29. player. 49. The Packers need to upgrade the secondary in this year’s draft and Awuzie has a chance to be special. This draft is deep in the defensive backfield and Awuzie is a sleeper.

30. player. 55. Stealing David Njoku here at the bottom of the first round would be just like the Steelers. Adding Njoku’s athleticism to the offensive firepower they already have would be downright unfair.. David Njoku, TE. Miami. Pittsburgh Steelers

DeShone Kizer, QB. Notre Dame. Kansas City Chiefs. 31. player. 124. The Chiefs trade down and pick up an extra pick or two, and snag Kizer here. While not a great value in round one, the Chiefs are said to like Kizer and need to develop a QB behind Alex Smith.

15. The Saints could take any number of CBs with this pick, but I went for the local product in Tre’Davious White, a player that can match guys in man coverage and make plays on the ball.. Tre'Davious White, CB. LSU. New Orleans Saints. 32. player
