One of the things that makes the 2017 NFL mock draft season fun is the unpredictability. There is no telling how things might go from one to the next.

Few things can turn a draft inside out faster than a big trade. The past couple years have proven that much. In 2016 both the #1 and #2 picks were dealt. The year before Jimmy Graham was moved to Seattle, netting New Orleans an extra 1st rounder. Strangely it feels like this year could feature a bevy of big moves as well, many of them involving superstar names. So buckle up.

1. Cleveland Browns

53. Week after week passes but nothing changes. Myles Garrett remains the unanimous top prospect in the 2017 draft class. Everything from the measurements to the tape reflect a player destined to be great in pro football. A blue chipper in every sense. It really doesn’t matter the scheme. He’s got the mixture of size and athleticism to where he’ll fit in just about any system and will thrive. This isn’t a hard decision at all.
Sure the Cleveland Browns need a quarterback. That’s a given, but they are not at a point where they can afford to be reaching. From a talent comparison, it’s not close. Garrett surpasses all of the quarterbacks in this class in terms of pure physical skill and potential. This franchise is in a stage where it must be about acquiring the best possible talent. They haven’t had an elite pass rusher in a long time. Changing that could change everything.
. DE. Texas A&M. Myles Garrett . 1. player
