The Cleveland Browns are horrible, but Terrelle Pryor is a major bright spot and unexpectedly so. How much more can he do for this team?

How can you not love watching Terrelle Pryor play football?

It might not have worked out for him long-term at quarterback, but there is undoubtedly a place for him in this league as a wide receiver and gadget player. With all of the front office and personnel mistakes the Cleveland Browns have made, how were they the only ones that saw he had this kind of potential?

Forgive me for being overly harsh toward the Cleveland Browns, but Pryor left me in a state of amazement on Sunday afternoon. He looked like an absolute superstar and I hope we get to see it continue. This is unquestionably one of the best and most freakish athletes in the league, but who could have anticipated he would bring this kind of versatility?

This tweet really embodies what Pryor did on Sunday:

The Browns have to be devastated about their quarterback situation, but at the same time, the thought of pairing this type of playmaker in Terrelle Pryor with another one like Josh Gordon and soon — both he and Corey Coleman — is intimidating for defensive backfields.

Even if the Browns don’t have someone capable of playing consistent football at the quarterback position…

Credit Pryor for his work ethic and humble approach to a position change. This is a guy who was once the top recruit in college football, a phenomenal collegiate player for Ohio State, and actually made some nice plays for the Oakland Raiders as a quarterback as well.

It didn’t work out at quarterback, and that’s a bullet that Pryor was willing to bite. He is getting his shot as a wide receiver, and with his freakish athletic ability, it seemed only a matter of time before we would start seeing it pay off.

The early returns are favorable for Cleveland, and Pryor is doing a little bit of everything. For a team as bad as this, this is an absolute treat to watch.
