Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins has been officially released by the team after being arrested early Friday morning for driving under the influence.

According to a report from the Tampa Bay Times this morning, Seferian-Jenkins was pulled over at 3:42 a.m. Friday. Police reports say Seferian-Jenkins was allegedly weaving across the road and cut off a police cruiser while speeding more than 20 miles per hour over the limit.

Reports are that Seferian-Jenkins allegedly refused to take a breathalyzer test, and allegedly “performed poorly”  on sobriety tests. He was released on a $750 bond Friday afternoon.

It is not known whether or not the league will suspend the tight end following the arrest.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins was arrested in 2013 for driving under the influence while attending The University of Washington.

Tampa Bay used a second round pick on Austin Seferian-Jenkins in 2014, but injuries have limited the tight end to just 12 starts in three seasons. Last year he opened the season with two touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans, but went down with a strained shoulder.

The tight end was sent home from practice prior to the season, and engaged with disgruntled fans on Twitter after.

This season, Seferian-Jenkins had just three catches and a touchdown in the Bucs first two games of the season.

Cameron Brate is the only remaining tight end available for the Buccaneers just three days from their next game against the Rams. Rookie Dan Vitale is on the practice squad, and has played fullback/tight end in college.
