Philadelphia Eagles Schedule Gets Easier with Injuries
A tough schedule is starting to look easier for the Philadelphia Eagles
To say expectations are not high in Philadelphia is an understatement. Sam Bradford is back, Doug Pederson is the head coach, and their last three first round picks (Marcus Smith, Nelson Agholor, Carson Wentz) are either hurt or not living up to expectations.

Many local analysts put the Eagles somewhere around six to eight wins entering the preseason. They cited Bradford’s injury history, the unknown that is Doug Pederson, and a weak group of cornerbacks.
To make things worse, the Eagles schedule is one of the toughest in the league this season, ranked 26th in the league. They face Seattle, Minnesota, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati; the creme of the crop in the NFL.
However, the schedule looks a little brighter given the horrible news regarding Tony Romo and Teddy Bridgewater. Romo is out for 6-10 weeks with a broken bone in his back. This would slate him to face the Eagles menacing front seven on Monday Night Football in his first game back.
Teddy Bridgewater tore his ACL and dislocated his left knee in practice Tuesday, effectively ending his season. With Shaun Hill the back-up option in Minnesota, the odds of the Eagles winning their week seven match-up just went up dramatically.
While you never root for injuries in any sport, seeing two opposing quarterbacks go down with major injuries should help the Eagles record wise. That could translate into higher hopes for a post-season push.
