With the first shocking cut of the 2016 NFL preseason, the Buffalo Bills have decided to waive sophomore running back Karlos Williams.
Williams, who is due to serve a four game suspension to start the year, had nine touchdowns as a rookie coming out of Florida State.
With LeSean McCoy, Reggie Bush, and rookie Jonathan Williams in the mix, Rex Ryan and company were able to move on. Williams added some weight in the offseason, blaming his pregnant wife for the gain in pounds. A suspension doesn’t help him either.
My understanding of Karlos Williams' cut: Was performance, not discipline. Thanks to his weight, he was behind McCoy, J. Williams, Bush, etc

Karlos Williams will generate a lot of buzz in free agency as a 23-year-old running back. He proved to be a consistent scorer with the Bills, and filled in as the starter when LeSean McCoy went down with an injury.
While the off-the-field issues may have teams a bit reserved on signing him, Williams won’t be jobless for long.
Here are the top five NFL teams that could land running back Karlos Williams in free agency.
