A Heisman Trophy frontrunner, loaded defense, and favorable schedule all have expectations sky high in Baton Rouge.

Only the thoughts of fonder years held back the powers that be from firing longtime head coach Les Miles.

A dreadful end to a promising 2015 spurred rumors and reports of his imminent termination, but it was not to be.

He was retained as the lead man at LSU, but Miles and his team have never been under as much pressure to bring home the bacon as they are now.

The Tigers championship-caliber roster consisting of a Heisman frontrunner who’s joined by 17 additional returning starters, coupled with a favorable schedule, make it easy to see why expectations are pouring out all sides of Death Valley.

There are virtually no excuses left in Baton Rouge to fall back on any longer.

With the start of college football quickly approaching, here we take a look at what’s in store for LSU this season.
