The Chicago Bears can really do just about anything going into the 2016 NFL draft now.  That is what their work in free agency has done for them.  No pick or other aggressive maneuver is off the table.  It just become a matter of figuring out what is possible, and that include possible trade scenarios others might not have considered.  Here is one that could make a ton of sense for them.

By now it’s pretty easy to guess what the title of the article means.  In this mock draft, the idea is the Bears reach an agreement with the New York Jets on a trade.  It involves them swapping 1st round picks and then the Bears giving up their 2nd rounder for the rights to All-Pro defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson.  The idea of course is to solidify the front of their defensive line with a formidable trio of him, promising nose tackle Eddie Goldman and free agent pickup Akiem Hicks.  It’s an upgrade on a massive scale what with all three being 26-years old or younger.

Even by surrendering the 2nd round pick, the Bears know they’ll still have eight picks total in the draft, plenty of ammunition to hit other positions on the roster.  Here is how the rest of the action plays out following the deal.
