As most football fans have come to know, it’s expect the unexpected on draft day. It’s no different for this latest installation of the 2016 NFL mock draft. More of the pecking order is in place, as are all seven head coaching vacancies filled. Now things are starting to clarify somewhat towards what the biggest objectives will be for every team.

player. 54. Sam Bradford could be gone and the Philadelphia Eagles have to know they don’t have anybody else on their roster ready to replace him. Sitting at #13 there is little chance they will get a top quarterback, and given the limited strength of the class, there is one alternative if they wish to get the best possible player at the position.
Are they giving up a lot in this trade? Yes, but this team needs a franchise quarterback and Jared Goff is the best available. The Cal product has the tools from size to arm strength, poise and above all accuracy on his passes. He still has some mechanic and fundamental issues to work through, but that is why the team hired Doug Pederson as their head coach. It’s a bold, expensive move, but one that has to happen.
.
