This is my first of what I hope to be a weekly occurrence here on NFLMocks. During these write ups I will discuss what we all should be looking for in College Football this week that pertains to the NFL Draft. I will include scouting reports, positional rankings, mock drafts, games to watch and my thoughts on prospects in this years draft.

In this weeks Scouting Roundup I will be taking a look at my top five Quarterbacks for this years draft, a scouting report on Louisville safety Josh Harvey-Clemons, my games to watch this week and my thoughts on different prospects and how I view them.

Games to Watch for Week 6

  • Miami (FL) vs #12 Florida State: This is a prime time game on ABC and should be one of the more exciting games of the week. The best prospect in this game is Jalen Ramsey cornerback for FSU. Ramsey has been a shut down cornerback for Florida State this year and locks down the opposing teams best WR every game. I have Ramsey as my #4 overall player for this years draft. Everett Golson has looked extremely on and off this year. He has thrown zero interceptions to go along with seven touchdowns but he has not pushed the ball down the field very well this year. He is not a NFL quarterback to me, a positional change is almost a definite if he wants to make it in the NFL. Look for Miami (FL) safety Deon Bush to make a big impact on this game, he looks like he could be a Day 2 or early Day 3 selection.
  • #23 California vs #5 Utah: Jared Goff  is clearly the name to watch in this game. Goff is my #1 rated player and for good reason. He is the best QB in college football and will showcase that on national television. Cal WR Kenny Lawler has had an excellent season so far, he has his red zone ability with his eight touchdowns and has a great pair of hands. He is a name to keep an eye on, he is really good and sooner than later his name will start to become known. Utah RB Devontae Booker is not having the season most predicted him to have but he is someone I think highly of. His running style is reminiscent of Arian Foster to me. I expect a huge game out of Booker against Cal.
  • Arkansas vs #8 Alabama: Alabama is on a mission right now, after blowing out Georgia last week this team is trying to regain the SEC West title. Expect the elite Alabama prospect like Derrick Henry and A’Shawn Robinson to make their usual impact. LB Reggie Ragland is probably the best linebacker in this year’s draft  class. Ragland flies around the field and makes plays like an elite LB prospect should. RB Alex Collins is really good and his name is starting to become known. Collins is going to get the best test possible against this Alabama defense.
