As the preseason begins to wind down, it’s becoming more proper to assess and make NFL team predictions for the 2015 season.  Hopes are high for the Oakland Raiders this year, a young team looking to finally erase years of bitter frustration.  Here is how things are likely to shake out for them.

Offensive MVP:  Latavius Murray

Derek Carr and Amari Cooper are prime considerations here, of course but it’s important to remember who the head coach is.  Jack Del Rio is a defensive specialist, and most defensive coaches prefer to center the offense around running the football.  It controls the clock, keeps the quarterback upright and eases the burden on the defense.  That means running back Latavius Murray figures to see lots of action.

He hasn’t had a huge preseason, but his talent is undeniable and should start to shine through as the season goes on when defenses start getting banged up.  Provided he stays healthy, it should be a breakout season for him.
