After spending ten seasons in the NFL, Jason Campbell is ready to hang-up his helmet, according to multiple reports. The 33-year old quarterback spent time with the Redskins, Browns, Bengals, Raiders and Browns during his NFL tenure, but could not find a home after the 2014 season. He is expected to officially announce sometime this week after not getting any pro-camp invitations.

An SEC star while at Auburn, Campbell never got the chance to solidify himself as a starter in the NFL. While at Auburn, Campbell earned SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors and was named the MVP of the 2005 Sugar Bowl. He finished his career at Auburn with nearly 7,300 passing yards and a QBR of 148.2%.

Originally selected with the 25th pick by the Redskins, Campbell spent his first five seasons in the nation’s capital. The Redskins sent a first and fourth round picks in 2006, to go along with a third round pick in the 2005 NFL draft to the Bears. That third round pick in 2006 was used to take Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall. After sitting out a season, Campbell started seven games in 2007, throwing for over 1,300 yards.

After the Redskins acquired Donovan McNabb on Easter Sunday of 2010, the Redskins shipped Campbell to the Raiders. Campbell would start 18 games for the Raiders over two seasons, where he helped set the franchise record for points scored in a game with 59 points against the Broncos. Campbell would opt to leave the Raiders and opted to sign with Chicago. When Jay Cutler was knocked out with a concussion, Campbell stepped in and went 11-19 in a 13-6 loss to Houston.

After spending two seasons with the Browns, he finished his career as Andy Daltons back up in 2014, getting action in four games. The Bengals are opting to run with fifth round pick AJ McCarron and Terrelle Pryor entering 2015.
