Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars
After two-straight division titles, the Carolina Panthers must be feeling they are close to a deep playoff run. Meanwhile the Jacksonville Jaguars eagerly wish to see if their supposed solid drafting will begin to yield tangible results. This game will be closer than anticipated, but the more experienced Panthers should hang on for the W.
Final: CAR 26, JAX 21
Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams
The surprise of Week 1 is going to be this game. The Seattle Seahawks have owned the St. Louis Rams of late, but all the while Jeff Fisher and his team have gotten better, adding a solid quarterback in Nick Foles and now a workhorse running back in Todd Gurley. This will be the game that starts them on a path to the playoffs.
Final: SEA 16, STL 24
New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals
Carson Palmer should be back, which is welcome news for the Arizona Cardinals. Still, the team is in the middle of an adjustment period, especially on defense having lost a number of free agents. The New Orleans Saints still have Drew Brees and completely revamped their offensive makeup into a power running game.
Final: NO 31, ARI 21
