It’s time for another Atlanta Falcons mock draft, as we approach the post-NFL Scouting Combine time of the offseason. The new league year kicks off on March 10th at 4:00 p.m. — read the first version of my Falcons mock draft here.

Since the last update Dan Quinn was officially hired as the Atlanta Falcons coach, and he brought a deep, talented, and experienced coaching staff with him. It’s been about a month since I last did a Falcons mock draft, and it’s time to update it with rise and fall of some prospects.

First Round

44. The Falcons have needed pass rushers since John Abraham left town. Their pass rush has been abysmal over the past two seasons and multiple upgrades are needed. Vic Beasley absolutely <a href=. OLB. Clemson. Vic Beasley. 8. player

Second Round

42. player. 44. Eric Rowe is a guy I’ve been a fan of for awhile now, but I was waiting for his combine results before I slotted him this high. Rowe is an aggressive, athletic, versatile defensive back that new coach Dan Quinn would love to get his hands on. Like Beasley, he really helped boost his stock with a great combine performance.. S. Utah. Eric Rowe

Third Round

player. 44. It hasn’t been harped on this offseason, but the Falcons have a big need at running back. Steven Jackson is likely to be cut while Jacquizz Rodgers is an impending free agent. That leaves Devonta Freeman and one trick pony Antone Smith at the running back position. The running back class is so deep this year that the Falcons could still land a solid running back at the beginning of the third round. Abdullah falls a bit due to his size and disappointing 40 time, but he still possesses tremendous value here.. RB. Nebraska. Ameer Abdullah. 73
