Strengths

Hall has decent height at 6’0″, and uses it fairly well.

He ran a 4.6 at the combine, but has much better quickness on vertical routes during the game. His specialty is on kick returns, where he amassed a total of 2,083 yards (25.4 avg) during his four-year career at UCF. His senior year, he had 959 total yards combined.

His best season was with Blake Bortles in 2013 with 57 catches, 886 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Weaknesses: Hall is still developing as a receiver. His biggest flaw is the fact that he lets the ball hit his body before trying to catch it, leading to a large number of drops.

He also brings a large number of durability issues with him. He missed the season-opener against Penn State in Dublin, Ireland with a shoulder injury he suffered in the preseason. He also missed two games with a hamstring injury after hurting it against Temple.

Hall was ejected for targeting his senior season versus Bethune-Cookman.

At the combine, his measurements came in short of what teams expect from incoming prospects. His arms measured in at 30 1/2” and his hands a full inch smaller than expected.

Hall only had nine career collegiate touchdowns, as well as just over 2000 receiving yards for his career. During his senior season, he did not record a touchdown and only had 500 yards.

Records/Awards: Selected as the team’s Outstanding Wide Receiver (2013); UCF Way Award (2014)

Pro Comparison: Denarius Moore

Draft Projection: Rannell Hall is projected to be a late Day Three prospect this spring.. One NFC East scout was quoted as saying, “I was kind of hoping he wouldn’t look very good at the Senior Bowl so I can keep him under the radar.”
