In this Kansas City Chiefs mock draft 2.0, we take a look at a few playmakers that could help this AFC West contender in 2015. Is a wide receiver in their near future? Find out below.

Our Erik Lambert had the first edition a few weeks back. You can find it here.

This is not a prototypical “mock draft”. These are round-by-round predictions that list the Chiefs best targets in each round with their current roster situation.

Round One

Round Two

player. 124. You didn’t think I could ignore the glaring need at WR, did you? Perriman is a big, much-needed option that Kansas City can bring in to be effective immediately. Alex Smith can’t go on much longer without a guy that he can rely on in key third-down situations against legitimate defense. A draft pick like this one boosts the projections on offense for 2015 right away.. WR. UCF. Breshad Perriman. 2

Round Three

Florida State. Josue Matias. 3. player. 124. Chiefs fans know best that they have to get a better option at guard. Matias isn’t my favorite interior prospect in this draft (not even close, really), but I think he’s a perfect fit for what the Chiefs like to do. A fantastic run-blocker, Marias simply needs help picking up blitzes. He’s able to compete for a starting job immediately with a team like the Chiefs. An outsider may argue that offensive line shouldn’t be the focus here. However, watching the tape from 2014 says otherwise.. OG
