New York Giants Mock Draft: Full 7-Round Predictions

facebooktwitterreddit

The Giants struck gold last year in wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. They’ll be looking to find another stud in this year’s draft. Let’s take a look at who they’ll be targeting.

First Round

The Giants should look to improve Eli Manning’s pass protection as he moves into the twilight years of his career. Miami left tackle Ereck Flowers has been a fast riser this season and is one of the top tackles in the draft. He would be an immediate upgrade at right tackle over Justin Pugh, allowing Pugh to play a more natural fit at guard. Having Flowers on the roster would give New York three solid lineman to help keep Eli Manning upright.. OT. Miami. Ereck Flowers. 9. player. 31

Second Round

31. Rashad Jennings has been injury prone during his NFL career and it isn’t going to be any easier for him as he’ll be 30 at the start of the 2015 season. Amber Abdullah could create a lethal 1-2 punch for the near future with power back Andre Williams who showed flashes as a rookie.. RB. Nebraska. Ameer Abdullah. 40. player

Third Round

Johnathan Hankins was an absolute beast for the Giants in his second year in the league, but he had no help next to him. Mike Patterson is an impending free agent who shouldn’t be resigned as he really struggled in 2014. Christian Covington dominated Conference USA competition even though he missed a good chunk of the 2014 season. Covington could be a gem for the Giants.. DT. Rice. Christian Covington. 74. player. 31

Fourth Round

Fifth Round

136. player. 31. Making sure Jason Pierre-Paul returns to the Meadowlands next season needs to be a top priority for the Giants. Whether or not he resigns, the Giants could use some depth at defensive end. Za’Darius Smith formed as nice pass rushing duo with Alvin Dupree at Kentucky and he could replicate that ability at the next level.. DE. Kentucky. Za'Darius Smith

Sixth Round

31. The Giants’ secondary could use some depth and youth added to their ranks. Gunter is a versatile, long athlete who could play special teams while he develops into a role player on defense.. CB/S. Miami. Lardarius Gunter. 170. player

Seventh Round

G. UCLA. Malcolm Bunche. 201. player. 31. More depth along the Giants offensive line, which is always needed.

220. player. 31. Andre Debose would be a nice addition in the seventh round. He’s got some serious speed and has been a special teams ace for the Gators over his career. If he can somehow manage to stay healthy (he enrolled at Florida in 2009) he’ll be a nice pick up for the Giants.. WR. Florida. Andre Debose
