St. Louis Rams Mock Draft: Full 7-Round Predictions

facebooktwitterreddit

Quarterback would be nice, but the St. Louis Rams must play their few NFL draft cards carefully.  Here is how things could shake out.

LSU. La'El Collins. 10. player. 51. It isn’t sexy and it isn’t a quarterback but until the right situation comes up, the Rams would be smart to go with the safer picks.  La’El Collins is a proven blocker in a top college conference.  He brings a nasty, powerful disposition that will suit a Jeff Fisher run-based offense and he has the ability to stay at tackle or kick inside to guard if needed.. OT

41. player. 51. The facts are clear.  The key to winning in the NFC West is controlling the line of scrimmage.  That requires a good offensive line.  St. Louis is on the right track but they need to keep building.  A.J. Cann would be another great piece.  He’s a solid all-around blocker who brings a mean streak and a solid base in pass protection.. OG. South Carolina. A.J. Cann

player. 51. A better-than-expected athlete who often played both wide receiver and cornerback for the Spartans.  He’s got good size, rapidly improving route running skill and the kind of hands that make him a go-to guy for the quarterback.  Not a burner but doesn’t need to be.. WR. Michigan State. Tony Lippett. 72

Sean Mannion. 137. player. 51. He had a superb year in 2013 but changes to the offense and loss of help around him really hampered Sean Mannion this season.  Arm strength and mobility are both lagging a bit with him but he has the vision, the intelligence and the size (6’5″) to function at the NFL level.. QB. Oregon State

C. Georgia. David Andrews. 202. player. 51. He’s a bit squatty for a center but doesn’t lack for punch when opening holes for his running backs.  Pass protection is also something he has done well at times.  David Andrew has some things to work with.  His issue at present is consistency.
