A new head coach might be the first thing the Atlanta Falcons search for next year, but aside from that, what do they need improve on their roster?

Matt Ryan can’t sack opposing quarterbacks too

Even though protecting the well being of Matt Ryan remains a big priority, the primary reason for the Falcons blowing so many games of late is they can’t sack opposing quarterback and really haven’t been able to since John Abraham left.  Despite their heavy free agent run, they didn’t bother to seek out an athletic pass rusher.  They have just seven sacks in 2014 and their leading guy on the stat sheet is Jonathan Massaquoi with two.  How can Atlanta expect Ryan to win them games if the defense isn’t prepared to protect the leads he builds?  That has to change.

Best Answer To Problem:  Randy Gregory – DE – Nebraska

The key to finding that answer is seeking out a player who not only would thrive in their system but their building.  Remember, the Georgia Dome can get raucous and loud.  If the Atlanta Falcons could find a player with explosion and speed it would make a perfect fit for what their defense is trying to do.  Provided they stay on their current trend, they need look no further than Randy Gregory of Nebraska.  The defensive end has it all from size, to length, to burst off the edge along with an array of pass rush moves to get free.  He has been and remain a top prospect in 2015 NFL draft.  Don’t believe it?  Just watch.
