Fantasy Football Sleepers: Running Backs to Pick Up

In this edition of Fantasy Football sleepers, we take a look at a few running backs that could have an impact for your team in the coming weeks. If you’re struggling at this point in the season, you may need a spark to pick you up.

Maybe you need to make a trade, maybe one of these guys is still available. Either way, here are a few players to keep an eye on.

Bryce Brown, Buffalo Bills

With injuries to C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson, Brown should be considered a must pick-up for you this week. He showed strong skills with the Philadelphia Eagles in his limited time there, and has the potential to have a few big games in the coming weeks. If you had Spiller or Jackson, this is a move to consider.

Justin Forsett, Baltimore Ravens

Okay, Forsett might not technically be a sleeper at this point, but you need to find a way to get him on your team. The Ravens are going run-first this year, and Forsett is the go-to guy. He’s quickly turned into what we thought Bernard Pierce was going to be in Baltimore this season. For the Ravens, the loss of Ray Rice doesn’t seem too brutal if you look at what Forsett has been able to do this year. Look for the Ravens to rely heavily on him in their upcoming divisional games.

Tre Mason, St. Louis Rams

Mason has been seeing more carries lately, and he’s been producing for the Rams. Although it’s risky to ever have a Rams back on your roster, I believe in Mason. He should continue to get carries, and his skills are perfect for being an eye-popping back in the NFL. It may be a risk, but it’s also possible Mason has his coming out party in the weeks to come.
