The Texas A&M Aggies are currently taking on Mississippi State on ESPN in quite possibly the best game of the afternoon, but they’ll have to be without young DE Qualen Cunningham for the remainder of the game in an extremely questionable call in the first quarter.

The officials said the hit (seen below) was a helmet-to-helmet penalty, and ejected Cunningham for the remainder of the game. It’s definitely a questionable call that the Texas A&M sideline wasn’t too pleased about, and rightfully so. Cunningham made the hit, and it didn’t seem very ejection-worthy.

Take a look at the hit:

Interesting to say the least…

A&M is looking to win this SEC matchup and improve their ranking in the polls. With the Oregon Ducks’ loss to Arizona on Friday, Kevin Sumlin’s team has the opportunity to possibly leapfrog Marcus Mariota’s squad this week with a commanding win.

Since Cunningham’s hit came in the first half of the game, he won’t be forced to miss any time next week when the Aggies host Ole Miss at home. The Rebels are playing in an extremely tough matchup today at 3:30 against the Alabama Crimson Tide – that game can be seen on CBS.
