2014 NFL Power Rankings, Tight Ends Edition

The NFL is full of pass catching tight ends, a position group full of players that have revolutionized the passing attack of NFL offenses thanks to pioneers like Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates.

This is a position that has become a huge mismatch for teams that have the guys who know how to take advantage, and we all know that a good tight end is a quarterback’s best friend.

To make this list, you not only have to provide strong hands as a pass catcher, but you also need to be able to do the little things. Tight ends have to be some of the most versatile players on the football field at any time, so I’ve compiled a list of what I feel are the best in the NFL.

We’ll start with a possible MVP candidate down in New Orleans…

1

Jimmy Graham

TE, New Orleans Saints

Jimmy Graham is like a 6’6″ 265 pound wide receiver. His size and athletic ability make Calvin Johnson seem diminutive. This is the best tight end in the NFL and he was paid as such this past offseason. Superstar.
