Brock Vereen

Safety, Minnesota

The Bears had a few nice value picks in this year’s draft. I loved their pickup of David Fales in the sixth round as well as Ka’Deem Carey in the fourth. But they traded from the fifth round into the fourth to get Minnesota safety Brock Vereen, who could wind up being a starter as a rookie. Vereen didn’t blow anyone away with his stats last season, finishing with 59 tackles, an interception, and six passes broken up. But this is a very athletic, aggressive defensive player who has a chance to make a significant impact as a rookie. That’s a phenomenal value.
