Jamie Collins

Linebacker, Southern Miss

Jamie Collins was one of my favorite all-around defensive prospects that came out in the 2013 NFL Draft. I felt like he should have easily been a first round pick. He didn’t log any sacks as a rookie in the regular season but had a huge game vs. the Colts in the playoffs and proved that he has a bright future in this league. Collins can play all over the defensive formation and has the ability to put pressure on the quarterback. I think he’s going to become an every down player for the Patriots, and I think he’s also going to be a very good pass rusher for them. He has a dynamic skill set and is in line to break out in a big way in 2014.

Dallas Thomas will have a good year for the Dolphins but I think Dion Jordan is the future star here. Yeah he has the four game suspension but when he comes in fresh to the rotation he will be super. They were practicing him at DT in the pass rush formation. Also Jamar Taylor is healthy and could really surprise.
