2014 NFL Draft Grade: St. Louis Rams Select Lamarcus Joyner, DB, Florida State

The St. Louis Rams have traded up into the 41st overall slot in the second round and have selected Lamarcus Joyner, CB/S, Florida State.

The Rams’ draft haul is already impressive with the likes of Aaron Donald and Greg Robinson, but now they are getting a versatile defensive back that can play safety, corner, nickel, whatever they ask him to.

For St. Louis, getting Joyner came at a price as they traded up with the Buffalo Bills, giving up their 2nd rounder (44th overall) as well as a 5th round pick to make the move.

Joyner never missed a game in four years for Florida State and is a very intriguing pickup for an improving Rams defense.
