The Baltimore Ravens selected Timmy Jernigan with the 48th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

PICK GRADE

This pick gets a B. I think this is a good pick, but there are a ton of other needs I think the team should have addressed.

QUICK TAKE

Jernigan can be REALLY good. If the Ravens think they can coach him up, he can be a very good player.

OUTLOOK FOR 2014

The Ravens should feel pretty confident as they approach the season. The free agency period was a strong one for Ozzie Newsome’s team, and they have clearly bolstered their roster in the 2014 NFL Draft thus far. They’ll have an interesting time trying to defend other young weapons around the AFC North, most notably Johnny Manziel, who was surprisingly drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd overall pick. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals have gotten better too, but I think it’s safe to say that the Ravens have taken over as favorites of the North due to the turnover all throughout the roster and coaching staff. Don’t forget, former Texan Gary Kubiak is now the Ravens offensive coordinator.
