2014 NFL Draft Grade: Buffalo Bills Select Sammy Watkins

The Buffalo Bills took Sammy Watkins with the 4th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

This pick shows that the team was serious about selecting a legitimate threat for E.J Manuel.

OVERALL GRADE

A because it’s clear that the Bills wanted to make a huge splash and get their fans exctited. It’s crazy to realize that we’re sitting here and talking about this, but it happened, and it’s HUGE.

WHY THIS PICK MIGHT WORK

The Bills needed help big time, and this helped in a huge way. I’m a huge fan of Watkins and what he can do on the field. Manuel is going to be thrilled and it’s going to show on the field big time.

WHY THIS PICK COULD BE A BUST

I can’t see a reason why this would be a bust. Watkins has clear ability, and it’s clear that he has a huge catch radius. He’s an elite pass-catcher. Let’s just say this was the best move to be made considering the situation.

SURPRISE OR EXPECTED?

Any time we have a huge trade, it’s always a surprise. Bills fans should be thrilled with this pick…it’s a HUGE deal.Watkins is the future for this franchise in a big way!
