Just one year removed from winning the Super Bowl, the Baltimore Ravens fell short of the playoffs after all those veteran players left and changed teams, but they were just one win away from the playoffs.

This team isn’t far away from contending again, as their record indicates, but they are once again going to have some obstacles to overcome. First of all, what happens with Ray Rice after he’s been indicted? Will the NFL suspend him?

How will the addition of Steve Smith impact this team? Unlike last year, the Ravens didn’t make a huge splash in free agency this year other than bringing in Smith, so their more underrated additions will be counted on to make a significant impact.

Ravens Top Team Needs

1. Wide Receiver

Steve Smith was added as a stop-gap, but the Ravens need to find a long term #1 or #2 to pair with Torrey Smith.

2. Right Tackle

With Michael Oher gone to Tennessee, the Ravens need to utilize the draft to find a replacement at the right tackle position.

3. Safety

Baltimore drafted Matt Elam in the first round last year, but he needs  running mate on the back end of their defense. James Ihedigbo bolted for Detroit, making this an even more pressing need.

4. Defensive End

5. Cornerback

6. Running Back

7. Punter
