Second Year — Dontari Poe, DT

The Chiefs operate out of a 3-4 defensive look, and right now the nose tackle position belongs to 2012 first rounder Dontari Poe. Poe doesn’t have any real competition on the Chiefs’ roster for that nose tackle spot, but he does have a lot of pressure being the only starter from his entire draft class just one year ago.

Coming out of Memphis, Poe was considered a raw prospect but a freak athletically. He possesses skills that no other defensive lineman in his class possessed.

I think Poe has a lot to prove this year. He is playing on a very talented defense and he no longer has any excuses with a year under his belt of learning the speed of the game, and I think he could be a disruptive force up front for KC.

While many Chiefs fans are not high on Baldwin I think your comments relating to Reid and the staff are off base. I have read multiple reports coming from Reid that says Baldwin was impressing him and working hard. Nothing saying otherwise. Secondly if Andy was not high on Baldwin he had plenty of chances to pick up a good WR in the draft but declined to do so. Even though many Chiefs fans thought they should and would pick one. This tells me that Reid has more belief in him than your article indicates. Everyone is waiting for him to get it…hopefully this year with this staff and this QB he will.

I am with you K I feel Baldwin will have a break out year, even though as11 doesn’t have a cannon for a right arm he can get it down field as evident to that throw he made in the NFC championship game against the Saints high lite reel throw. I believe all we needed was a consistent Qb that will put it on the numbers and not get anyone killed coming across the middle and giving our guys a change to make YAC and Baldwin’s talent will show. We as a team have to much untapped talent for anything short of greatness!
