Scouting Report/Player Notes

Former US Army All-American coming out of high school and highly touted recruit who ended up playing his first two seasons of college football at a junior college, where he was a 2nd team All-American in 2011. Barnett burst onto the scene as a junior at Oklahoma State, racking up 30 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and a sack. Those numbers earned him the 2012 Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year award and 1st team All-Big 12 honors from the coaches. There is not a lot of film out there on Barnett yet, but he is a player with a wide 6’2″ 300 pound body who can penetrate and make plays in the backfield. He is a big, strong defensive tackle prospect who has good quickness off the snap. He could be the first defensive tackle from Oklahoma State to earn All-Conference honors twice in his career since the early 1990s.
