1. First round, 15th overall: Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas

I thought this was a pretty interesting pickup for the Saints. They obviously needed to upgrade the defensive side of the ball, but most people thought they’d go with a front seven player, especially with Jarvis Jones on the board. But, Vaccaro is a good fit for them. He is a versatile defensive back with good size and athletic ability, and is a player who can cover in the slot or play deep as a centerfielder. New Orleans had one of the worst defenses in the league last year, and if they want to get back to Super Bowl form, they need to get some playmakers on the back end of their defense. I think Vaccaro has the ability to be a stud in the NFL for a long time.
