Nov. 23, 2012; Pullman, WA, USA; Washington State Cougars wide receiver Gabe Marks (84) has the ball batted away by Washington Huskies cornerback Desmond Trufant (6) during the first half at Martin Stadium. Mandatory Credit: James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

Desmond Trufant – Trufant ran a 4.38 4o time, showing that he has the speed and athleticism many thought he didn’t have. Trufant also has very fluid footwork and has shown the quickness and ability to drive on the football. He is physical when the ball is in the air and he fights for the ball very well. Trufant doesn’t mind coming up and getting physical in the run game. However, he isn’t very good at wrapping up the ball carrier and doesn’t have elite strength to bring bigger ball carriers down. Isn’t an extremely long CB and doesn’t have elite arm length. Is streaky at times with his technique.

Oct 20 2012; Miami Gardens, FL, USA; Florida State Seminoles defensive end Bjoern Werner (95) sacks Miami Hurricanes quarterback Stephen Morris (17) during the fourth quarter at Sun Life Stadium. FSU defeated Miami, 33-20. Mandatory Credit: Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

Bjoern Werner – Werner has a good combination of strength and quickness, showing a good bend around the edge to get around blockers. Shows natural instincts, but has a good upside as a pass rushing prospect. Shows a high football awareness even though he is still raw as a prospect. Is very good at batting passes down at the line of scrimmage. Reads plays very well and is good at moving down the line to make plays. Has strong hands, uses them well at getting around blockers to the QB. Will get too high off the snap at times and lose leverage. Doesn’t have elite length at the position and long armed OTs can lock him down.

September 29, 2012; Tampa, FL, USA; Florida State Seminoles defensive end Cornellius Carradine (91) forces South Florida Bulls quarterback Matt Floyd (11) to fumble the ball during the second half at Raymond James Stadium. Florida State Seminoles defeated the South Florida Bulls 30-17. Mandatory Credit: Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Cornellius “Tank” Carradine – Is a good athlete with agile feet and good closing speed. Shows a natural bend and flexibility around the edge with good quickness. He has the athleticism to recover if he takes a wrong first step. Has good footwork to sidestep blockers and get around them. Has a great short-area burst. Is very good in the open field, uses his length to wrap the ball carrier up. Plays hard all the time, his effort never wavering. Improved hands to rip and tear his way through blockers. Still has plenty of room to grow as a pass rusher, as he is still developing his pass rusher moves. Tore his ACL in Florida States season finale or he would likely be a top half of the first round pick. He would be taking Osi Umenyioras place on the line.
