Scouting Report/Player Notes

One of the most improved players in the country going into the 2013 NFL Draft. Sudfeld battled injuries throughout his career and at 26 years old is finally showing that he has what it takes to compete at the NFL level. After just two  receptions in 2010 and 2011 combined, he has exploded in 2012 with 45 catches for 598 yards and eight TDs, adding a rushing TD as well. He has a great story, which is highlighted a bit in the bio video, but I think this is definitely a player worth watching out for. He will probably be a mid-late round pick, but he has really intriguing skills at the tight end position and incredible size. There is no quit in this guy, and NFL teams are going to love that. Obviously his injury history is a concern and will drop his stock a bit (as will his age) but I think this is a guy who can come in and contribute right away. He’s a good blocker and obviously a very capable pass catcher. I’ll be intrigued to see how he measures out athletically.
