Scouting Report/Player Notes

Was primed to be one of the best receivers in the country in 2012 prior to being dismissed from the Tennessee football team and moving over to Tennessee Tech. Rogers has a unique combination of size, speed, and athletic ability, and I like his potential in the NFL if he can keep his head on straight. He is capable of making tough catches in traffic and making plays after the catch. He kind of has a little bit of Dez Bryant/Anquan Boldin type of feel to him with his toughness across the middle, his ability to contribute on punt/kick returns, and the fact that he plays a bit faster than his 40 time indicates. I think he has potential as a number one receiver in the league, but he has to be receptive to coaching and growing. If some team with a huge need at WR takes him and tries to thrust him out there right away, they could be in for some trouble. I think he needs to go to a stable locker room and learn from some veteran players before he takes the field. He is capable of working from the slot as a possession receiver and making tough catches over the middle.
