Update on Penn State Transfers

With the Penn State scandal leaving Penn State players without an opportunity to make it to a bowl game this year, a number of Penn State players are taking advantage of the NCAA’s policy that allows them to leave without sitting out a year.

Here’s an updated table of players that have transferred out of Penn State (from Fansided.com)

NAME

 Silas ReddRBUSC
 Justin BrownWR Oklahoma
 Rob BoldenQB LSU
 Tim BuckleyS N.C. State
 Anthony FeraK/P Texa

The biggest name of this list is Silas Redd, who has a great chance to be the starting running back for USC this year.

Another player who might make a big impact is Penn State WR Justin Brown transfering to Oklahoma. The Sooners are expected to compete for the BCS Championship this year and are low on receivers because two of the promising Penn State WR were suspended. Brown also ahs been an effective return man for the Nittany Lions. The transfer of quarterback Rob Bolden to LSU hurts Penn State more than it helps LSU, I can’t imagine Bolden actually starting for the Tigers in 2012 unless there were some major injuries.
