Pac 12 Duo Vontaze Burfict, Chris Polk Lead Group of Undrafted Free Agents

facebooktwitterreddit

The NFL Draft has come and gone (can you believe it?) and now teams are scrambling to sign undrafted free agents (and I am scrambling to keep track of all of them). As of right now, the best undrafted free agents available from my final board are Washington running back Chris Polk and Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict.

Both players have concerns attached to them, but both are pretty interesting guys. Apparently Polk has a degenerative hip or shoulder problem, but that didn’t stop him from dominating at Washington and I think some team is going to get a steal, even if he’s only able to play for a couple of years. He has good power and an all-around solid game, and ran in the low 4.5 and high 4.4 range at his UW pro day.

Burfict has problems with consistency, attitude on the field, and overall his decision making now that we know he failed a drug test reportedly. Burfict has potential as a starting inside linebacker but he needs coaching and he needs to get his attitude straightened out.
