These are the five best cornebacks remaining on our big board. There weren’t many drafted in the first round-just three of them.

Running backs drafted already:

Morris Claiborne (to the Cowboys who traded up)

Stephon Gilmore (#10 to the Bills)

Dre Kirkpatrick (#17 to the Bengals)

Best five remaining cornerbacks

1. Janoris Jenkins Northern Alabama

Jenkins is considered a first round talent, but has a “character concerns”. He was kicked out of Florida and transferred to Northern Alabama. Jenkins also has made news because a lot of children. What Jenkins can do is cover WR. He shut down every WR he faced in the S.E.C.

2. Trumaine Johnson, Montana

Johnson is very physically gifted. Johnson is big and fast, but didn’t play great competition. He was also arrested during the regular season (for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest). Johnson can also potentially play safety.

3. Jayron Hosley Virgina Tech

Hosley has terrific ball skills and looks like a perfect fit for an off-zone system where he can read the quarteback’s eyes and make plays on the football. Holsey is also very athletic and instincts. He’s not a great tackler and lacks size. He doesn’t fit every system.

4. Josh Robinson, CB, Central Florida

Supremely athletic, but with good tape to boot. Robinson should be off the board pretty early in the second round.

5. Jamell Fleming, Oklahoma

Fleming has a great size speed combination. He wasn’t always able to stay on the field at Oklahoma, but when he was he was good. Really played well during the final stretch of 2011 and has a lot of upside in a variety of systems. Good player.
